Cozy atmosphere with great food

Went there last night and had a wonderful time. The waitress was very friendly and competent. Had the seafood Newburg. My wife had chicken with artichokes. Both were tasty and fresh. You have to try their homemade blueberry cobbler

You could easily drive by without noticing this restaurant but that would be your loss. They have delicious food and get available products from local vendors. Food is fresh and delicious. Service is friendly.

Our group of 17 ate lunch here after a morning on the St. John's River - Blue Heron Tours. We all got to sit in the front room which must have been the living room. It is a beautiful old Florida house. The food was all prepared fresh with local produce. All of us gave the Cafe a

Everything, from the smiles that greeted us, through the appetizers, main courses, and desserts, was delightful! Crab stuffed mushroom caps, brushcetta, fish dip, steaks, key lime shrimp, seafood crepes, blueberry cobbler... all phenomenal! There were 11 in our party and everyone agreed that this was one of the best dining experiences! And in a charming atmosphere! We are looking forward... More

Nice place for lunch with girlfriends or a quiet dinner with that special someone. It's located in an old fashioned 2 story house along S. Woodland Blvd. Food is served on pretty mismatched china. I had a soup/sandwich combo. My creamy corn chicken chowder was rich & homemade. I had a chicken Caesar wrap which was warm and tasty. Not... More

Loved this place. Food and atmosphere were great. We were there for lunch. I had trio half sandwich, soil, and salad at a very reasonable price. We will go back. This was my favorite in Deland so far.

Very quaint. Enjoyed lunch sandwich & salad at very reasonable price before taking in the 1:30 Stetson Mansion tour. This was our second visit to both. Makes for a very pleasant day!

5 of us shared lunch on a sunny porch serving area. It appears there is some outdoor service (for slightly warmer weather) and some table in the main part of the house. 4 of us had sandwiches which came with 2 sides. Turkey, chicken and ham were choices and all were well-received. The 5th person had a daily special which... More

Don't let the shabby chic outside fool you. This restaurant is a delight...everything's homemade and delicious. If you're in a hurry, want a great burger, like loud music--don't go here. But if you love well made food, a quiet space in an eclectic atmosphere, a chance to sip wine and talk with your friends, this is a perfect place. Someone... More

It has been a year since I last reviewed this small charming restaurant and still my favorite in Deland. The soups are homemade and over the top. My partner never gets tired of the Steak and Roast Beef Sandwiches, not to mention the daily specials. But if you prefer lighter fare you will be equally pleased. Enough said. Go. Enjoy.... More
