AN OLD HOUSE ALL DONE UP FOR THE HOLIDAYS--EVERYTHING JUST RIGHT

The food was very good and the chocolate cake to die for. The day we were there it was threatening rain so... read more

just popped in here as it showed up as an option on GPS. What a treat! Great soup and sandwiches. Had the tomato parmesan soup with tuna. Awesome. I wish I lived close by we'd definitely do the Thanksgiving meal with them. Sweet little café. Next time we are in the area we shall definitely return.

My wife and I met old friends that we haven't seen in nearly 10 years for lunch at the Old House Café. Having never been to DeLand before, we made our lunch choice entirely from the favorable reviews. We were not disappointed! Wonderful food, cozy atmosphere, great service and a warm & friendly staff. We were all delighted! I/we highly... More

I have been dining there frequently for 3 years. The soups and sandwiches still the best around. Portions ample and presented well in ambiance from yesteryear. You will find this to be a step back in time in an atmosphere suitable for quiet slow conversation with those near and dear. No greasy burgers and fries here, just healthy satisfying delicious... It's not really hidden but is in a somewhat nondescript building which would be easy to miss unless paying close attention when driving by. When it was first recommended to me by a friend, I went there for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. So much so that I returned a few weeks later for dinner. My companion and I were... More

Went there last night and had a wonderful time. The waitress was very friendly and competent. Had the seafood Newburg. My wife had chicken with artichokes. Both were tasty and fresh. You have to try their homemade blueberry cobbler

You could easily drive by without noticing this restaurant but that would be your loss. They have delicious food and get available products from local vendors. Food is fresh and delicious. Service is friendly.

Our group of 17 ate lunch here after a morning on the St. John's River - Blue Heron Tours. We all got to sit in the front room which must have been the living room. It is a beautiful old Florida house. The food was all prepared fresh with local produce. All of us gave the Cafe a

Everything, from the smiles that greeted us, through the appetizers, main courses, and desserts, was delightful! Crab stuffed mushroom caps, brushcetta, fish dip, steaks, key lime shrimp, seafood crepes, blueberry cobbler... all phenomenal! There were 11 in our party and everyone agreed that this was one of the best dining experiences! And in a charming atmosphere! We are looking forward... More
