After dining at the Greek restaurant, we usually pop over here for a naughty dessert. By that I mean two scoops instead of one. Our dieticians might not approve, but our taste buds do. They always have the most interesting flavors with clever names. A fun place.

What a wonderful surprise when we discovered the Sweet Spot and the delightful owners, Jimmy and Melissa. The ice cream is homemade every day, as is the hot fudge and hot caramel sauce. When they make their fabulous salted toffee chocolate ice cream, even the toffee is made from scratch. Oh, it's just sooo dense and delicious!. Oh, and there... More

The place is clean bright and cheerful. The prices are cheap. They have about twenty yummy Flavors to choose from. The young lady at the counter let us sample as many flavors as we wanted and was so sweet during our "decision" process. I got the mayan chocolate. Just wonderful with a little kick of cayenne pepper. Perfect!

16 homemade flavors make it difficult to choose in this small, out-of-the way ice cream shop in downtown Deland. The ice cream is delicious with some very interesting flavors to enjoy in a cup or cone (three sizes here with a large and small waffle cone). The staff is welcoming with an encouragement to sample as many flavors as you... More

My husband and I have been coming to The Sweet Spot since they opened, and it is the definition of a family-owned place. They are unfailingly gracious and welcome feedback from everyone (you can even participate in Facebook contests every week to create a new flavor). I've had them cater an ice cream event at work for several hundred people,... More

I was in town visiting the area this weekend and it was extremely hot so was looking for a cool treat. This was recommended by a local who raved about it so I was expecting to blown away. Although the sorbet I got was delicious it wasn't spectacular, the place could use a face lift and if you can never... More

This ice cream is excellent. I love the pistaccio and my husband usually gets vanilla. It is rich and creamy and very good for the price. We always eat dessert here or stop by after the springs.

They make it from scratch - not from some can of ice cream base - but from real cream. And they create amazing and unique flavor combinations like "Super Hero, Crispy Cream Donut and Carmel Cheesecake!" But don't fear if you don't want to step into "Maple Bacon" land because they make some of the best good old chocolate, vanilla... More
