good food high priced

food is great but a bit high compared to other fish houses. Loved it though. I would go there again. I am able to eat non fried sea food there and that is the best

I have been to the DeLand Fish House many times. My favorites are the cedar plank salmon, it is very moist & delicious. The Ipswich (big belly) clams are always are fried to perfection and the fried oysters. The place is not fancy but very comfortable. The staff is friendly and the prices is right. They also have a small... More

Great oysters! I had the Mahi Mahi dinner with fried okra and fresh veggies. My daughter had the Johnny. Son had the kids chicken fingers. Brought home the desert, black berry crumb cake .

To begin, I will say the service was excellent. After a wait to be seated, our server was quick to bring drinks and take our order. The ambience remains the same: crowded and dated. The fresh fish in the case look anything but fresh...but the ice looks good. We started with chowder, a white substance which tasted mostly of uncooked... More

Owner could care less. Cold chowder, rude waitress and upon telling the owner he took my money and sent me away. Never again. He's lost this customer forever.

My aunt suggested that we try this place while we were visiting her in Deland. They were not very busy, yet we waited a long time for our dinners. When the food finally arrived, my fish was paper thin and overcooked/dry. The other food was average (which is what we expected), but fine. Towards the end of our meal, a... More

Great service with southern prepared fish. Best part of the menu were the cakes for dessert. Overall decent experience

Dined here with my father and husband upon my mother's declaration of it being "the best fish she's ever eaten". My mother dines out more than she has ever cooked so this I had to try. She was right. Shhh, don't let her know I said that. The fried fish wasn't the typical greasy hard crusted battered mess that usually... More

Very modest piece of fish (Grouper), salad bar uneven, clam chowder seasoned poorly. Potato salad was the best thing. For the price not worth the trip.

I noticed many different dishes sampled in the reviews but I have only tried a few and they have all been really fresh and delicious. We love their shrimp. The only thing I didn't like when we first dined here was the heavy handed use of Old Bay seasoning so now they leave it off and bring a shaker. Be... More
