Popped into J, Byrd's Muddy Waters Restaurant in Deerfield Beach to meet friends. Originally thought the place MIGHT have been named after the famous blues guy that inspired such small talents as Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton and The Stones, but no, it's named after a famous MSU college football coach. But that's cool. When you walk into Muddy's, the decor... More

If there was any place I would say was the closest thing to being a true "pirate" themed restaurant this was it. Good Oysters, strong drinks and great seafood. Loved the little touches they put up around the place. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

If you like oysters you can't beat the price and quality of this place. At $.50 per oyster how can you go wrong. The service is great and the menu varied and we always have a great time. Very easy to entertain the children. We are regulars.

Love the food and atmosphere! Especially the outdoor patio! Has that Key West feel without the drive. The outdoor dining experience really captures the essence of the Florida lifestyle us natives love about living down here. Relaxing and colorful! Freshest fish and seafood! My guy loves the burgers ! I love their sweet potato fries. Good and crispy while hot.... More

Kind of a seafood style sports bar on the inside. Has some interesting murals and décor, not tacky or shabby. Has outdoor seating with plants, a parrot and fountains. Nice touch. Has a great selection of seafood dishes, all priced right. Service was a little sporadic but worked out good. Had some oysters, escargot, and grouper sandwich. All very good.... More

Went on a Sunday night. Waited at least 10 minutes to be waited on! Poor waiter was running ragged but very polite! Waited too long for apps and dinner causing us to be late for a get together after dinner. Ordered the scallop appetizer! One was ok, the next was pure ammonia! Spat it out but tongue still tingled for... More

We have eaten here while vacationing, about 7 times over the past 5 years. It is my favorite place in the area. Amidst the huge number of chain places, it is a very distinctive, very popular local restaurant. The decor is a bit "over the top" Florida/nautical, but is fun. Definitely an excellent place for fish. The fisherman's platter is... More

I'm in the area on business, and was looking for some place unique to eat after a long day of travelling. The restaurant itself is definitely unique! Everything else was kinda just average. The menu has quite the spread of offerings, and they have a good selection of draft beers. I'd consider going back, but it definitely isn't on par... More
