A real authentic beach dive with lots of fresh seafood. We all love the rock shrimp, mahi anything, and whale fries which are really homemade chips. Good simple fresh seafood and good friendly service that won't break the bank are what keeps us (family of 6) coming back.

Must admit diners drive-ins and dives brought us to this place and it did not disappoint! Parking is impossible but is the ONLY complaint. 45min wait but was expected and did not mind at all. Our server was incredibly nice and helpful..an unexpected plus after reading some of these reviews. Place was clean and great atmosphere too. Then there was... More

This is a little gem with fab raw bar and great variety of seafood. Our family has been coming here for years and never disappointed. Do not miss the whale fries! They also have special dinner menu during the week that include a glass of wine starting at $10.99! You can also get take-out which is especially useful when on... More

We just stopped in for late night cocktails and the famous whale chips. I made mistake of ordering an chocolate espresso martini and got a look like I was suffering from sunburnt brain. Just basic spirits here, yet the coconut rum makes any juice into great tropic drink. This is another fish-camp-look bar with it's thick varnished boat wood walls... More

I just went in to this place and waited for an hour , and "we" man ( I guess he is famous), I was willing to give hime the next seat but was then advised by the D........... head manager that I was not welcome because I was passed up and then even asked to leave because i was unhappy... More

After reading the reviewes of Tripad members about The Whales Rib, we decided to give it a try. I'm now convinced 90 % of them must consider Mc Nuggets a gourmet meal! Are you kidding me? What a dump, rustic is one thing, but come on, buy some cleaning products and hire someone to use them. From the dirty restrooms... More

We love this place. Its very casual and great for a family. We come here to FL for 2 weeks every year from Texas, but my husband and I lived here for years before our kids. This is a reasonably priced, family friendly, absolutely delicious restaurant. The smoked fish dip is fab and is a huge serving for a price... More

We had lunch here on a weekday with no wait. Server was nice and efficient. Whale fries were yummy, love the sauce that comes with them. Lobster sandwich okay, probably not their best offering but fine. Chocolate layer cake was awesome! Love the giant sodas! We had a great experience and would go again!

After hearing "you have to go to the Whale's Rib" and talk of how it was on Diner's, Drive-in, and Dives, we went on the last night of our vacation expecting to finish the week on a high note. What we found was mediocrity. The food was bland, and the servers, while attentive, seemed to rush us and seemed annoyed... More

Try the blacken dolphin slaw sandwich. Get there early, 70's 80's music, a good mix of customers, all three soups are worth a try, lobster bisque very good.
