Stone Crabs FTW - Don't let Guy Fieri

When I'm down in SoFla, I gotta have me some stone crabs. Whale's Rib's got 'em. And you know, I like nice high-end places, but on this particular day I wasn't in the mood to put on my fancy pants and drive down to Joe's in Miami. I wanted a place with a bunch of old license plates on the... read more

We ate here Saturday of Valentines weekend. We got there about 5:30 and there was already a large crowd. They said a 45 minute wait. Many locals recommended it to us so we were willing to wait. After a few minutes of browsing nearby stores, we wandered in to see if we could get appetizers at the bar. Found a... More

Saw this on triple David and drove 15 miles. Biggest grouper sandwich on East coast. Worth a trip. Suggest off hours because it's crowded otherwise

Ate dinner here and the food was awesome!! I had the Polynesian blackened chicken and my friend had scallops. Both were wonderful. Fun atmosphere but go early-it gets packed!

Husby and I have been here numerous times and always love it. Hands down, the rock shrimp you MUST have! Whale fries with whale sauce too! This last time we went, I got the blackened scallops- SEA scallops....not 6, not 8, but a full dozen! I don't think it was more than $20! Just go, go, GO! You won't be... More

Enjoyed a cold, creamy black and tan while these friendly folks cooked us up their delicious fish and chips! A culinary treat not to be missed enhanced by clever decor and great music.

We were told by the concierge that this hole in the wall was the best seafood in town. We were skeptical, but willing.Atmosphere is very casual beach bar-esque. Tattoos abound. Not my style...The waitress recommended the rock shrimp and the home- made potato chips. Both were spectacular. The Reuben style blackened dolphin fish sandwich was delicious. Service was terrific and... More

The Whale's rib is a great place to eat. It has a cool bar feel. The servers are always asking how you are and on top of things...even when busy. The rock shrimp are the best...taste like lobster and are priced well. Crab claws, Whale fries, and all fish are also great. We drive 40 minutes when in town just... More

Be prepared to wait. This place is awesome! I had the best grouper sandwich I have ever eaten here. All of the food was excellent. It is sort of a hole in the wall place, but great food, fun wait staff and good prices. Definitely a must!

Highlighted by their unique chips and ever-filled ice tea glass I enjoyed a grouper sandwich cooked par excellence. The server gave us ample time to peruse the menu and her service was excellent. My dining partner had a marvelous chicken sandwich. The food and friendly atmosphere certainly will cause me to return,
