Down the Hatch used to be my favorite restaurant in the area. No more, they should be embaressed to call themselves a dining establishment. Their salad was old and wilted, The soup had a film across the top. The fried shrimp was burnt, the garlic mashed potatoes were slimy, the Pasta with Marinara consisted of over bland over cooked cooked... more

My family was at Down the Hatch on Friday night June 26. We usually eat there every year we go to Daytona on vacation. About 4 or 5 years ago the restaurant was sold and taken over. It hasn't been them same since. I had the seafood platter and most all was overcooked. I had it broiled and it was... more

First time guest at this restaurant on father's day 2009. Arrived early and got a great table with window view. TONS of flies inside the restaurant and all gathered around our table. I informed the waitress that we wanted to really enjoy our time there and we would take our time ordering. I guess this was a bad idea because... more

The place was nearly empty at 2:00 pm on Sunday, it took about 5 minutes to find someone to seat us. Good food, they seemed to have downsized their options on the early bird menu. I wanted a seafood platter, but I hate oysters so I asked to substitute maybe an extra piece of fish. The waiter said they could... more

We always look for the restaurant with the most local tags. DTH was it. We have eaten there during 4/5 visits to Daytona. The one missing trip was our first. The scenery is great, and we enjoy the casual atmosphere. The first request when planning this year's trip was for DTHE fish spread that served with crackers when you are... more

We just ate here on March 7th. The waitress was miserable. She was sick, she kept dropping everything. She brought our garlic mashed potatoes out when we were almost done eating our dinner. I ordered the surf and turf. The lobster was over cooked. Someone from Ponce lighthouse recommended this place to us. They said they had the best sea... more

Well DON"T its a waste of good money for bad food. We spent seventy bucks on seafood that tasted fishy. It was overcooked and tasted... more

My friend and I stumbled upon Down the Hatch last week when on vacation in Daytona Beach. We went to visit the Lighthouse and I was looking for the Inlet Harbor Restaurant that I read about on Trip Advisor, but somehow took a wrong turn and ended up at Down the Hatch. Granted it is off season and it was... more
