I am a local here in Daytona, and an avid fisherman, I usually cannot compare any local seafood to what I can prepare at home. I use tripadvisor religiously while traveling, and find it interesting to see what travelers think about our local fare. I had never eaten at Bay Street seafood, even though it is very close to my... We took a 10 day trip from Daytona to Key West and had the best food by far here. There is little atmosphere, but it was clean and the service was friendly. We are there once on the way down and again on our way back to Atlanta. The shrimp and onion rings were amazing! Enjoyed this MUCH more than... More

We came to have a late lunch. Hubby thought the half portion (6) wouldn't be enough for him, so he ordered the whole portion (12). It came with a small bowl of black beans and onion rings. The shrimp were huge. Lightly battered so you could really taste the shrimp instead of all the heavy batter that are usually the... More

The food is always great, the atmosphere very casual and the prices ar very affordable. My family is always remembered each summer. We've been eating there for years and they've watched our children grow from babies to elementary school kids. I always feel at home when I get here.

You will not believe how good the rings are. I have never, ever had better. They are homemade, lightly dusted and crispy goodness. The only thing I can think that compares are the fried zucchini blossoms we had in Italy. The shrimp were just delicious; the cole slaw was okay. Friendly staff, great service. This is a diner, not "dining."... More

It's sad with so much fresh, local seafood around that they choose to serve Basa. This fish is raised in raw sewage then treated with chemicals. I wouldn't feed it to a stray cat.

We always eat here while on vacation. We went on Tuesday night, when they have a shrimp special. They were very busy, yet we had great food and service. The shrimp were great. The onion rings and cucumber salad are " must haves." Recommended.

We visit Daytona yearly & always try a few Tripadvisor rated restaurants to our week. Ate here, she had fish of the day (basa), I had crab cakes, we both had cole slaw & onion rings. Basa was very good, breaking was light, cooked just right. Crab cakes were just ok, kind of bland. Onion Rings were incredible, very light... More

After reading the reviews my mother and two kids decided to stop for lunch while passing through Daytona. We were in the mood for some FRESH seafood. Other reviewers correctly described as a hole in the wall but clean establishment. The lunch special was the fish of the day with sides. We all ordered the special. The fish was prepared... More

The shrimp was the best of our trip. Onion rings were light and yummy. All our sandwiches were very tasty. We really enjoyed this place and highly recommend it for great seafood!
