We ate here again, 2 nights in a row, on our visit to Daytona. The food was just as delicious, the service just a great, etc, etc as on our first visit 9 months ago. You CAN NOT go wrong!!! The owners Barbara and Jimmy make you feel like welcomed family. The prices are MORE THAN FAIR, the portions huge... More

Owners were very friendly and conversed with us while we waited. The restaurant was nicely decorated and very clean. The food was amazing! We had a sausage pasta. You can tell it's high quality right away. The white pizza was delicious. Baked perfectly and they weren't shy with the cheese (I LOVE cheese). Barbara, the owner, was a sweetheart. She... More

bit like a truck stop when you walk in - not a no 1 fancy italian restaurant like i was thinking. wine was not served in proper wine glasses. food was a pretty average. the tomato sauce with my seafood pasta was swimming over the edges of my plate. reminded me of that dolmio stuff you get in jars, sorry... My Dearest Shagtastic – Being as you're writing on Tripadvisor one would think that you are able to read also? I'd like to address each of your claims for which I am bewildered. You seem clearly entrenched with the idea to insult our restaurant from the start. First of all you begin by stating Go Somewhere else and comparing us... More

Street parking is an issue and the lot on the side fills up quickly, but it was worth the walk. The owner and his wife were definitely in the correct line of work. We felt like family right away. The food was outstanding and the prices were extremely reasonable, especially in a tourist area like Daytona Beach. This was my... More

Others who have given this a 3 star rating have been the victims of nasty flaming by the owner, so I almost hesitate to give an honest assessment. But here it is: Without a doubt, this is a big food place. It IS flavorful, if uninspired. The garlic knots were to die for. But, I asked the owner-chef for his... More

My Dearest Cantbackup – Short and sweet and without flames – I know how you adopted your moniker for Tripadvisor because you CAN'T Back up your claims. I have no problem with your OPINIONS until you suggested we use CANNED mushrooms which is either true or false and requires a certain amount of knowledge you do not have. Anyone can... More

We picked Don Vito's based on tripadvisor reviews. We walked in and were the only ones there at 6 p.m., usually not a good sign. Jimmy engaged us in conversation, we talked politics, sports and food all in a matter of 3 minutes. Stop in and say "hi" to Jimmy & the rest of the crew. We had Lasagna and... More

Yea, you've been to this place before...in Chicago, San Francisco, Baltimore, Pittsburgh. ..every major city has one: a favorite, comfortable, casual, reasonably priced, old-fashioned, family-run Italian restaurant, known for great food based on grandmas recipes, generous servings and where the locals go for comfort food. Daytona Beach offers this one! We were not disappointed. Family chatacters showed us to booth,... More
