Like a wine "common sewer" (I can't spell the French version of the word!), a suchi/sachimi expert rants and raves about their $200 meal. Better fish, better preparation etc. In my opinion, most of the hype is contrived and ridiculous! Go to Shinju and just take in the ambiance of the restaurant, the limited but exquisite selection of shush, sashimi,... More

Went for lunch to try out there large selection of Sushi. Restaurant is clean, and the staff were all very friendly. They have a large Sushi Bar that is all fresh. In addition they had a nice buffet from shrimp to wings. Lunch time is busy with Nova University close by, but it's a large restaurant and can handle a... More

I have been to few Chinese Buffet restaurants but this one (Japanese) is very clean and place smells nice. Excellent food variety and reasonable price at $18.5 each.

Pros: Better selection of sushi than most buffets. Close to Nova U, Broward College Central Campus. Cons: The most lackluster interior among the Shinju restaurants. Arguably the worst food/selection among the Shinju restaurants as well. Certain staff members also behave unprofessionally. Tip: Ask for a booth to avoid the risk of getting sandwiched between tables/chairs/customers. The Shinju Japanese Buffet chain... More

I usually go for lunch and the food is always fresh because of the high turnover. Nova University is close by so they are pretty busy for lunch. The restaurant seems clean and the staff is friendly.

This is NOT your typical Japanese sushi/Chinese buffet restaurant. Most buffets are mostly Chinese with a few pieces of sushi and bad desserts. When you walk into Shinju, you will first notice how clean they are and how happy everyone around is because the food choices they offer are incredible. They have, gosh, at least 25 different kinds of sushi,... More

If you have the luxury if driving to the Boca Raton location, I would highly recommend it. Although this Shinju is GOOD, the Boca Raton location is AMAZING.

For years my wife and I went to a sushi place in Plantation, FL. The food was excellent, but the prices were outrageous. One Saki, and dinner for two cost, close to $100. Then we found Shinju. The rolls and the sushi and were just as good as the expensive place and much less expensive.

We have visited Shinju on numerous occasions & they have never disappointed. For a good price there is an extensive all you can eat buffet. Although they have a wonderful array of sushi & sashimi, there is a Mongolian BBQ station quite ample & wonderful tempura for the "no-raw fish folks". The food has always been fresh and deliciously prepared... More

The sushi is very good and diverse. The the price is great. Arrive early; on many nights the restaurant is packed by 6:00 pm.. Service is a bit inconsistent.
