Geeze GUY'S, give 'em a break.

I don't know when Guy's Fieri's Diners, Drive-in's and Dives featured this place, but a Triple-D review usually elevates a dining establishment and expectations are higher. So with all the hoopla, it's a wonder people are writing more scathing reviews of Grandpa's and it's not fair. Let's remember... read more

I've been to Grandpa's several times over the years and I'm still trying to find what the great attraction is. There has never been anything really wrong to complain about, but it's no better or worse than any other mom and pop type restaurant. The food is good, but nothing to write home about. The service has usually been acceptable,... More

We had to wait about 10 minutes but it was worth it. It was Sunday so some people were still having Breakfast and they brought everyone some wonderful cinnamon bread. I had a very good hamburger and my husband had a Pastrami sandwich. Everyone was friendly. We ate lunch there the next day and I had a really good chicken... More

We stumbled upon this restaurant by accident and then realized it had been on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. We were quite excited to be there. It took us 20 minutes before anyone even acknowledged we were there. And then another 45 minutes to get our lunch. We didn't order anything fancy or time-consuming. An egg salad sandwich, BLT and a... More

this has to be the worst experience i have had dining out in last 5 years. Take a customer to late lunch, seat yourself sign so we take a booth. wait almost 10 minutes to have someone come over. server had no clue gave us his handwritten special and said choose what you want. both of us picked a special,... Best place for breakfast in the area. When we are here for vacation we always start our day off with breakfast at Grampas. The first thing they do is bring out a plate of complimentary danish that are still warm from the oven. They melt in your mouth. Everything on the menu is great. My dad gets the corn beef... More

This was seen in diner dives and drive in and that was a reason my wife and i visited it. To say the least we were not disappointed in the food but the service was slow on a busy morning. The waiter John was very nice but they were understaffed and this was the only drawback we encountered. I still... More

We are in town for one evening before boarding a cruise ship and we really wanted to go some place local for dinner. We went to Grampa's Bakery and Restaurant. We ordered the Turkey special, Fried Chicken and Prime Rib. The portions are large and we all were able to try each entree. The food had a homemade taste and... More

Bakery/ restaurant / diner style Our first time at Grampa's, but it won't be the last. The service is very friendly, family run restaurant. The dishes are overflowing, fresh, we had navy bean soup--super fresh and overflowing. I had a stuffed cabbage roll with veggies and the largest sweet potato I have ever seen ( actually it was a 1/2... More

My husband's favorite breakfast place. Too bad we live at least half hour away so we couldnt go as often as we'd like. Friendly service, food is as expected in a longlasting diner. You wouldnt expect any less.
