This great little counter with stools joint is well worth finding... the food is the best... clams, conch, wings... you can't beat it... and the people watching is the best!

O.K., you've read all the reviews, and they're ALL true! This was my first visit, and based on TripAdvisor reviews. Arrived about 4:45 pm on a cool Thursday, and the place looked full. About 20 counter stools inside, and 3 or 4 half picnic tables outside. I took the only empty stool right at the entry door. It appeared to... More

the faint of heart. We visited this establishment on the high recommendation of friends. Interesting. We were sent to have the clam bellies. Sounded great. Unfortunately they did not have clam bellies, so we tried a clam strip platter and the conch salad. The clam strip platter was acceptable, I have had better, but the conch salad was to die... More

Great lead from Tripadvisor! Place is as advertised. Huge commotion, apparent disorganized disaster, but....food appeared quickly at our table in front of the place. And what food! A dozen raw gulf oysters with lemon slices and hot sauce, then the best broiled grouper i will ever have. Pure succulent wonderfulness. Not a great menu for veggie friend but cole slaw... More

Read about Tarks as top three in Dania...Could tell when we got there that it wasn't for us tourists... but did not' matter. Obvious that it was a local hangout right away. Lexus cars and Dodge trucks outside. Uniforms and Polo inside. We had fish sandwich, grouper salad, clam chowder and the wings looked so good got 10 of them... More

We went to Tarks with an open minds and not being terribly hungry. We ordered the raw oysters, fried calamari, red chowder, white chowder, gator nuggets, and the fried combo. The red chowder tasted very watered down. I had to add hot sauce to get some flavor. I tasted the white chowder. It looked and tasted the same; like a... More

I was in Florida for a couple days and had a hankering for seafood, so we grabbed a cab and headed over to Tarks. It's a shabby hole-in-the-wall kind of place, but that's usually where the best food is. Outside, there's a few picnic tables you'll want to grab because inside is pretty crowded with its bar-type seating. I ordered... More

Reminds me of old time oyster houses in Philly! It's very popular with the locals, so we had dinner here, and now we know why it's very popular! The menu was quite varied, with both steamed, and fried selections. Homemade soups too! Reasonable prices, and friendly service! Try to get there off peak hours, it filled up fast!

The place is a hole in the wall. Only place to sit is at the counter or the five or six tables outside. It's completely worth the wait. Their fried grouper was excellent. Fresh oysters and grilled ribs were enjoyed by friends. Can't wait to go back.
