The food is the freshest. You'll probably need to reach over someone to get your order, but that's cool ,they're mostly good olde boys The Clam bellies are awesome as are the Buffalo Shrimp. You basically can't go wrong unless you're impatient. It could only be improved by being in the Keys

The fish was fresh and reasonably priced. Service was a bit lacking (they forgot to bring me part of my meal, which they did quickly remove from the check), but they were swamped. Very casual with limited seating.

I've been in Miami two months now and I am getting tired of the overpriced mediocrity when it comes to shellfish. Finally I just googled "Best Oysters in Miami" and this hole in the wall came up... well what the heck, why not check it out... Truly worth the visit. Yes, it is a hole in the wall along a... More

Living not far from this place, I drive by very often but last Sunday a couple if friends were there and invited me to join them. I never thought it was going to be this good, it's like the original Shortys in US1 but for oysters, shrimps, clams, etc. We sat outside because it was really packed inside. I don't... More

Tarks is a little hole in the wall seafood shack, and you'd never expect such great food to come out of there. Honestly the best mahi sandwich I've ever had. Oysters, shrimp, you name it, they make it, and they will exceed your expectations.

Hadn't been here in years but was reminded of it when the local paper listed it as the best hole in the wall restaurant in Broward and Palm Beach counties. They are right. The seafood is super, the prices good, and the atmosphere fun. We grabbed a couple counter stools and shared some gator tail, fresh shucked oysters, and a... More

Had gator tail appetizer and blackened grouper. The gator tail was so so. It was lightly fried. I was thinking it would be prepared differently. That's my fault, not Tarks, but I don't eat fried foods often. It's not healthy but I also think frying robs most food of it's own taste. The blackened grouper was really, really good. I... More

The first 3 times I went to Tarks the food was excellent. However, my last 2 visits have convinced me not to return. My grouper was totally overcooked and it appeared that it had been recooked. It was nasty! My friends also had overcooked, tasteless food. There were flies everywhere and no place to sit inside. For a few extra... More
