Good Food, Good Service

Ate at Grandpa's for breakfast and lunch while on vacation. During breakfast service, the place was packed but service was still fantastic. Lunch service was a bit slower with the same great service. Many of the waitresses have worked there for years and are full of personality. Grandpa's is... read more

Went there with a group of gal. A few have been there before, I haven't. Breakfast was packed and when we left there was a long long line. Service was fast but waitress left check & meals then disappeared.. The rolls that were served before out meal came are so delicious. I just order an omelet but some of the... More

Upon arriving on a Sunday morning, the line was outside and down the street. Although, there was long line. It moved rapidly and we were seated probably within 20 minutes. The food was outstanding., Generous proportions and pleasingly presented. The server was courteous and attended to our needs. We will be returning here when visiting the Ft. Lauderdale area in... Well, spend a little time reviewing this menu and you won't be sorry. Our family set our sites on a lunch and was not dissapointed. Our waitress helped us narrow down our choices because we couldn't make up our minds which delightful meal we wanted to share. The menue is almost like going back home to our Grandparents kitchen and... More

This restaurant is conveniently located a few minutes south of the Fort Lauderdale airport, and Port Everglades If you want to experience "real Florida" go here. The place is popular with the locals because it offers excellent food at reasonable prices. This is not just a restaurant, it is also a bakery. Make sure you check out the bakery offerings... More

The decor of this diner is fun - bright red covers chairs and banquets and there is a real energy to this place. We went to this restaurant looking for a light breakfast. We arrived before 10am and had no problem getting a seat (I hear on weekends you wait a very long time) the food coming out of the... More

We went there for dinner on the recommendation of a co-worker back home. We arrived around 6:00pm and went inside and saw the sign please wait to be seated. We stood there and other people came in and just ignored the sign and us and sat down. After a few minutes we did the same thing. We waited a few... More

This is absolutely one of the best breakfast spots I've ever enjoyed! The service was friendly and fast and the complimentary cinnamon roll/bread was to die for.
