Sunday morning

This is becoming one of our regular Sunday breakfast nooks. And some Sundays we are early to catch the specials. Ordered the eggs benedict with has brown to share. Spent $15 that's with tip and it's really worth the drive. They open at 8 and we are there by 8:30. It becomes busy afterwards so being... read more

The place was packed and now I know why. They served some sweet cinnamon and sugar bread that was wonderful. We ordered the 2 eggs with bacon and BLT sandwich on white toast. Service was good in spite of the crowd.

I first heard of Grandpa's Bakery & Diner while watching Diners Drive-Ins and Dives on the food network. When my brother and sister-in-law were visiting last fall, we decided to check it out. Our waitress was outstanding. She was very attentive and personable instantly building a rapport with the table and pointing out some of her favorite menu items. My... More

Staff was nice and friendly, but the breakfast pancakes and country fried steak was just like other breakfast places, but as for the bakery. The bakery has the best pasteries I have ever had and the free bread they bring to the table is the best I have ever had.

This place is one of those places that is so much better than all of the chain restaurants. The people are so nice and the food is great. Baked goods on the premises. The portions are a good size too. Support the originals people and try something new and fun.

Wow! This was the worst dining experience we have had in years. It seems as though Grandpa might need to consider a retirement community. Service was horrible. Waited to order, waited for food, waited for ticket, waited to pay out. Food was mediocre at best. Not the way we wanted to start our vacation.

While looking for a different restaurant for breakfast, I realized I was lost and just pulled in to Grandpa's because the parking lot was full and that's usually a good sign. I was not disappointed! The Belgian waffle I ordered was big and delicious...a little crispy, just the way I like it and topped with about a whole can of... More

The food is always excellent...just very casual and well priced. We went twice while down south. Breakfast, we got omelets, friend eggs/bacon. We love the grits there. At lunch we had a couple of different things. Grilled chicken breast sandwich on homemade roll....Yum

This place gets busy, but they cannot handle it. Ok,they were busy, but that is no reason our food should be cold. They obviously cannot handle it. Service was friendly but quickly disappeared. Our water glass had some black stuff on it, maybe coffee grinds and the manager was nasty about it, commenting I suppose you want something for this.... More

This is a pancakes and bacon kind of place, and while the coffee left something to be desired, the food was terrific. The wait staff was not only friendly, but Comedy-Central entertaining. Put it on your list!
