This place is busy and they can move people through without diners feeling rushed or ignored. It is so busy because the food is awesome and everyone who works there knows how to keep things moving along...from the bartender, who is serving the masses without missing a beat to the waitresses who have to serve many tables at once. Definitely... More

Husband had a juicy burger, cape cod chips, & slaw. I had panko-encrusted snapper over wild rice, which was perfect. The house salad was small, but tasty. For dessert, I savored a generous slice of key lime pie. The service was slow during a busy lunch hour, but the staff was friendly. Bottles of wine abound as part of the... More

We went with friends on a late Sat. Evening. My husband has been eating clam chowder for years, but theirs is his favorite. We shared the 'tater tots'. OMG, the best thing I've ever eaten. They are a crispy baked potato. We shared the almond crusted grouper, with mango/pineapple/cranberry sauce. Mashed sweet potatoes and brocolini completed the plate. It was like thanksgiving... More

I have wanted to try this restaurant for a couple of years. My wife and 6 yr old grand son went with me. The décor was nice, the acoustics were not great. The food was first class. My wife had the grouper, which was fantastic, the grandson, had fish fingers. which were made from fresh fish. I had the shrimp... More

Although we reviewed this restaurant on our first visit we have been back a few times and wanted to re-emphasize that this place is the real deal. Each time we have been back, has been a great experience. Last night we took our friends to experience SG for the fist time and we were not disappointed. Baked Goats cheese with... More

We ordered a few small plates which are really more like medium plates. We would probably downsize our order next time. Having said that, the service and food were all great. We ordered goat cheese with honey and figs which was creamy and well balanced. The wild mushroom ravioli with house smoked onion and gruyere cheese sauce was so good... More

We went to the Square Grouper while in the keys. It ended up being the worst decision we made. When we arrived we were told that it was about a 45 minute wait. Not too bad considering it was about 645. About an hour later the hostess approaches me in the restaurant and tells me that she forgot us and... More

Stopped in for lunch and car park was full - a good sign. Once inside it wasn't your classic tiki hut restaurant but quite classy for the Keys. We were served by Mitchell, attentive but not intrusive. As it was lunch we had a grouper sandwich and a tuna melt, both delicious and both hit the spot for lunch. Would... More

We rented a vacation house right down the street from the square grouper and decided to stop in, the place looked like an average seafood place but it was awesome inside. We were seated immediatly (7 in our party) and ordered a little bit of everything. The yellow tail was great, the fish stew was amazing....can't say enough about how... More
