Inconsistent

Sometimes good and sometimes not. My experiences there have been very inconsistent. Usually the problem, if there is one, is over cooking seafood, e.g. oysters, etc

What's not to like about Charlies? I experienced talipia for the very first time at this restaurant and it was described as tasting like northern perch - I couldn't wait to see if that was true or not; and it was very true. Fast working staff, very attentive and nice atmosphere. Only problem was the noise volume, which was pretty... More

I had the stuffed Salmon. I could not believe the taste! The chef has combined flavor levels that raise this entree definitely to gourmet status! I believe this venue procures its own seafood as there seems to be a seafood processing facility adjacent to the restaurant, and yes, they have an excellent seafood market. If you enjoy succulent lobster, tantalizing... More

Have been here before and have always enjoyed the meal. Today I had the fried shrimp and not only were they large shrimp they were fried perfectly. Also had the lobster bisque that many people mention and it was just wonderful and had some large pieces of lobster. My son had the fisherman's platter which comes with shrimp, scallops, clams,... Stopped here for a quick bite of dinner. I had the grouper sandwich and it was very good, perfectly cooked. The portion was kinda small for $10 though. Fries and cole slaw very average. Our waitress was very attentive and did a good job. I would like to see a larger piece of grouper and I would come back. Long... More

Fun location but unfortunately less than average food. We will never return here. The shrimp, the grouper, the seafood platter and the pasta were all so unappealing. We should have sent it all back.

Traveling through from Tampa to Wewahitchka and stopped to eat here. Wow, the coconut shrimp, mullet, Mahi Mahi and streak was great. Went out on deck one of the workers tossed out fish scrapes from. Charley's seafood market and the Tarpon put on a show. A must stop if traveling through.

Parking is ample. Lighting at night a little dark. The greeting upon arrival is great. The sitting area was clean. Noise was average. The food that should have been hot was cold. And that was to be cold warm. Presentation was lacking. Freshness not evident. Menu is simple, beer and wine limited and simple. The service was very good but... More

We had all had a rough week, but ending in a fabulous wedding for our daughter the night before, which meant we were happy to scurry to Crystal River with the rest of the crew. We went at lunch, perfect with a 4 year old fascinated by the huge tarpon you can see off the deck. Asked the waitress, and gosh,I feel... More
