Great Fresh Seafood

This is some of the best seafood on the Gulf of Mexico. A real Old Florida treat. We try to get there early before the special runs out. Always look forward to the blackened flounder and the grouper throats. Love the way they deliver the salad as a chunk of lettuce and the homemade ranch dressing is creamy and fresh.

We have enjoyed Spring Creek on many occasions. The owners are fabulous and the seafood is fresh. While your there you should buy a copy of the book Spring Creek Chronicles it is quite a great read written by the owner of the restaurant .

WAY of the way to just about anywhere the Spring Creek is worth the trip. Only fresh seafood and a very peasant wait staff make dinner worth the trip. Salad is DIY when a chilled bowl of crisp iceberg, beautiful cherry tomatoes, icy cucumber and garden scallions come to the table- you add the homemade buttermilk dressing, croutons and bacon... Food and staff were excellent. The restaurant itself is decorated very nice. Extremely close to gulf. I had the grilled grouper which was excellent. However the place is a little pricey.

This place is overpriced and just okay. It is the same each time I have been here in the last ten years.

The food is locally sourced (they can tell you the name of who caught you fish). We had their crab cakes and they topped all other ones I've had (including Maryland crab cakes in Maryland). You toss your own salad at the table. We had Key Lime Pie which was made in house and was absolutely delicious. The only negative... More

We have been here once a year or so for the past 12 years. Little has changed. The food and service has been good every time. Do-it-yourself salad, good portions of seafood. Interesting decor. Clearly above average.

Great food in a great setting! The fried quail was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Mullet, oysters and shrimp were also great. Check out the books written by the owner, Spring Creek Chronicles and Spring Creek Chronicles II. Great short stories about fishing, hunting and living in Florida.

This is an out of the way location and was pointed out to us by some friends who lived in the area. What nice folks run the place. The food was great, the flounder cooked to perfection. Beautiful outside. The wait staff makes your meal a delightful adventure.

This is real -deal old-school Florida--gorgeous piles of fried mullet, catfish, gulf shrimp, Appalachicola oysters, grouper and grouper throats (better than they sound to the uninitiated) perfect hushpuppies, and salad by the gallon, family style with homemade buttermilk dressing. You might save a dollar or two eating imported, frozen, junk seafood someplace else, but why? If you're looking for sculpted... More
