my last review last month indicated how disappointed I was in our favorite restaurant - the next day I called the restaurant and told my tale of woe and within 3 days in the mail was a complimentary card - my partner and I went back on Friday evening and the meal was TERRIFIC - I had the sirloin steak... Enjoyed a family dinner here and appreciate their varied menu. Had a blackened ribeye sandwich that was above average and the baked brie is always a winner. Add a star if you like "microbrews" which they make on premises. i'm not a beer drinker, but they actually brew their own rootbeer which I enjoyed very much. Good place for couples,... More

Been coming here for years and never been disappointed. You have to try the muenster beer soup in the bread bowl. If you like a little spicy ask for the Cajun fries.

Big Bear is a very attractive restaurant but I wish the food was as good. I had the catch of the day which was trout and steamed broccoli. It was anything special, however, the raspberry ice tea was good. Service was adequate.

Went there for family reunion brunch. Good service. Good food. Enjoyed the meal and the company. I usually prefer a lighter lunch which was hard to find on this menu.

We have been going to Big Bear for years and enjoyed every meal we ever had there. The packed restaurant is a testament to this. But last night , on their "special" menu they listed a Lobster Bisque that sounded great..... But for our $8 , we got a watered down version of this classic dish. They must have run... More

I've been here a few times now and if you can be patient and deal, with the wait, you'll enjoy good service, good, food, and a good time. Nice selection and very reasonable prices.

This was our third visit to this delicious restaurant. There is usually a wait, but it is worth it. The Big Belt salad is fresh and large as was the steak. The wait-staff was knowledgeable about the wines and very helpful in making a selection.

Like the decor, lots of wood, Staff is friendly, food is good. But there are times when you just need to get a drink. I'll have a Bloody Mary: Big Bear uses Absolut vodka 4 ounces, 2 ounce package Demitri's classic bloody mary seasoning, quart V8, pour over ice, and garnish with pepperoncini, celery, olives. If you see green beans... More
