Good food but expensive.

We went a family of three for Sunday buffet brunch, the salad and food buffet has a variety f cold and hot dishes. An omelette station, a carving station. The bill at the end was $160!. Too expensive for a Sunday brunch.

We visited La Palma in Coral Gables for New Year's Eve. Overall, it was a very nice evening. The wait staff was attentive, accommodating, and patient. The wine list was decent with fair prices. The food was good, but not as good as I expected for the price - which may have been the result of a fixed menu on... More

This is my 2nd time at La Palma. First time I has the buffet which was amazing for only 13.95. 2nd time we ordered sea bass and ossobuco. The sea bass was very good but the ossobuco was poetry dissolving in your mouth. Our waiter Eduardo could not have been more attentive and accommodating. On a not-so-hot day, I suggest... More

I recently hosted my baby shower at La Palma Ristorante, and I was blown away by not only the food but by the absolutely excellent service. All my guests have been raving about how extremely polite and "on top of the things" all the waiters were, how excellent the buffet was and how picturesque the venue was. The price was... More

La Palma was the brightest spot in an otherwise disappointing visit to Coral Gables. We arrived at the restaurant shortly before they were opening, and they graciously invited us to sit at a table and order drinks and peruse the menu while they finished preparing to open. Our food was heavenly. I had homemade tortelloni stuffed with spinach and ricotta... More

I´ve been going to La Palma for 20 years, so I guess I´m a little biased and I will continue to go as long as they keep their lunch buffet. It´s probably the most varied anti pasto buffet that you will find in the Coral Gables/Miami area offering and extensive collection of vegetables, cured meats, oysters, shrimps, cold fish and... This restaurant is in a beautiful building and is quite elegant. The prices are good for the area but the food is very bland, not at all what one would expect from a supposed Italian restaurant. But therein lies the problem... it is pseudo Italian. If you don't expect Italian food then it is okay.

A friend recommended this place for both the live music and food, I went with my wife and we had a wonderful time, we had dinner, a bottle of wine at really very good price and danced all night until they closed, the piano player and singer presented the guests with beautiful Italian and international music with a large repertoire... We love their food, ambiance and service. Dining in their courtyard on a beautiful night, is like being transported to Europe. Their Josh wine, by the bottle, was excellent and priced at $38. Pasta bolognese, cioppino, crab cake, and Caesar salad were delicious. Along with bread sticks, their crusty rolls are made even better by dipping them in their garlic... More
