Description: Remember when Matt Dillon was eavesdropping on Cameron Diaz in the movie...
Remember when Matt Dillon was eavesdropping on Cameron Diaz in the movie "There's Something About Mary"? They were at Red Fish Grill. And what a location! Whether dining outside under the Palms at the edge of Biscayne Bay or in the historic coral stone dining room, this restaurant is like nowhere else. It's a slice of Florida that disappeared long ago in most parts of Miami. But it's a lot more than atmosphere that brings in the locals and notables. The menu is dedicated to fresh local seafood, cooked with a gourmet twist, sometimes Caribbean... sometimes Asian. Best bets: Fennel Seared Yellowfin Tuna on Crispy Wonton, Crab Cakes with Tropical Melon Slaw, Red Snapper with Shaved Red Onion Fennel Salad, Herb Crusted Sea Bass with White Bean Ragout, homemade Key Lime Pie and Caramel Flan with Toasted Coconut. And a wine list that's reasonable and varied. Please visit our website for further details.

Great location, decent food

This restaurant is located in a popular park that closes around dark, however you are allowed to enter for the restaurant. There is a very nice walk around the salt water swimming area with a great view of Miami in the distance.

This has great seafood as well as steaks and chops. Right in a residential area and on Biscayne Bay! Matheson Hammock Beach area .....try for an outside table!

Beautiful location. Would be a great wedding or party venue. My party was seated outdoors and we enjoyed the view. The servers were very professional and handled our large group with grace. I manage to taste a few dishes from the menu but I have to say their signature sea bass dish exceeded my expectations . I will certainly be... More

Great view, a peace of mind. I was attending a Conference in Miami and we ended up having dinner in this outstanding place. Food was also good (I had green salat with cheese as entrée and halibut with rice as main course).

The venue is quite nice, particularly at sunset. Inquire regarding your orders. When a bouillabaisse entre offers shrimp, scallops, clams and mussels, object when one shrimp, two scallops, no clams, and a dozen mussels, appears on your plate. The broth was quite good. The crostini was burnt, but fortunately was the same bread initially offered, which served adequately for sopping... More

This was our first visit to Red Fish Grill and it exceeded our expectations! Did you know that a scene from the movie "Something About Mary" was filmed here? I had made the reservations online and had asked for outside seating, weather permitting, and we got lucky to be seated at a table on the westernmost side of the restaurant... More

I loved this restaurant! The atmosphere was amazing, it overlooks the bay and is great for an intimidate date. I went with friends and the way they light up the palm trees makes it look majical! They have a customer for life!

There are very few restaurants that impress me these days. This is a gem if you love fresh fish. There is a beautiful drive through the wooded state park to the end where the Red Fish Grill sits. We had a party of six and were a;ll impressed with our meals. The service was excellent. The outdoor patio is quite... More

Traffic was tough on the drive down from the grove, but it was worth it. Unfortunately, the breeze picked up and we found it too chilly to eat outside, but what a beautiful spot! Our waiter was friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed the crab bisque, the salad, and the snapper was fantastic! Prices were reasonable, too.

I went here with two friends in late January as it is the favourite restaurant of one and we had enjoyed an evening here some years ago. Whilst the food was as good as I had remembered - perfectly cooked fish and a tasty appetiser - we were sitting in the smaller of the rooms inside (outside was full despite... More
