Remember when Matt Dillon was eavesdropping on Cameron Diaz in the movie "There's Something About Mary"? They were at Red Fish Grill. And what a location! Whether dining outside under the Palms at the edge of Biscayne Bay or in the historic coral stone dining room, this restaurant is like nowhere else. It's a slice of Florida that disappeared long ago in most parts of Miami. But it's a lot more than atmosphere that brings in the locals and notables. The menu is dedicated to fresh local seafood, cooked with a gourmet twist, sometimes Caribbean... sometimes Asian. Best bets: Fennel Seared Yellowfin Tuna on Crispy Wonton, Crab Cakes with Tropical Melon Slaw, Red Snapper with Shaved Red Onion Fennel Salad, Herb Crusted Sea Bass with White Bean Ragout, homemade Key Lime Pie and Caramel Flan with Toasted Coconut. And a wine list that's reasonable and varied. Please visit our website for further details.

We enjoyed the Miami Spice menu; starter, main and dessert for a set price. Waiter attentive, food as lovely to look at as it was to eat. Creative and interesting preparation. Pacing just right. This is one of my favorite restaurants in South Florida. A post-dinner walk around the inlet is the perfect end to the evening.

A view like no other, gourmet food timed correctly, and attentive waiters and service personnel make this a hidden gem of a restaurant worth repeated visits. Locals frequent and don't openly advertise lest it become to busy for the occasional walk-ins. Best to make reservations using OpenTable. Time it for Sunset just for effect, walk around the moonlit path around... More

Best views of downtown Miami and Key Biscayne!... great atmosphere, especially on cooler nights! Food is very good and sitting outside is the best if weather permits.

Spice menu was outstanding. We could not had selected a better place to have dinner with friends visiting from Arizona. They were impressed with the view and quality of the food.

After waiting over half an hour past our reservation time (which they called to confirm earlier in the day), we were seated and ordered our dinner. The food came out extremely slow and not all together. We were a party of 9, maybe too much for them to handle. Plates from the appetizers were not cleared and we had to... More

Stay away from this restaurant if you'd like to enjoy a cigar after your meal. When we sat down for dinner we mentioned to the waiter that we would like to have a smoke afterwards. He said this wouldn't be a problem and he would find a got table for us. After spending more than $200 on a mediocre meal... More

The fish was very fresh. My wife had the salmon I had the mahi. Oddly enough we could not find any red fish on the menu. Wine list was ok, even though our waiter kept pushing a Rose after we told him we are not rose drinkers. Service was fine otherwise. The dessert choices were skimpy. Altogether a good price... More

We had dinner at Red Fish Grill on our last night in Miami and the three of us all felt it was our most enjoyable evening. The restaurant is attractive with dining offered inside or outside. The food was very good, especially the bouillabaisse. The staff were wonderful, friendly and efficient. We loved the drive through Coral Gables and then... More

I went there for my anniversary dinner a week ago. I have been there before, and was looking forward to it. I requested a table outside, it was a very pleasant evening, a light breeze out of the south, and if you have been there or know the surroundings, that can be delightful. Red Fish Grill is situated at Matheson... More
