Description: Remember when Matt Dillon was eavesdropping on Cameron Diaz in the movie...
Remember when Matt Dillon was eavesdropping on Cameron Diaz in the movie "There's Something About Mary"? They were at Red Fish Grill. And what a location! Whether dining outside under the Palms at the edge of Biscayne Bay or in the historic coral stone dining room, this restaurant is like nowhere else. It's a slice of Florida that disappeared long ago in most parts of Miami. But it's a lot more than atmosphere that brings in the locals and notables. The menu is dedicated to fresh local seafood, cooked with a gourmet twist, sometimes Caribbean... sometimes Asian. Best bets: Fennel Seared Yellowfin Tuna on Crispy Wonton, Crab Cakes with Tropical Melon Slaw, Red Snapper with Shaved Red Onion Fennel Salad, Herb Crusted Sea Bass with White Bean Ragout, homemade Key Lime Pie and Caramel Flan with Toasted Coconut. And a wine list that's reasonable and varied. Please visit our website for further details.

Fresh Fish

The fish was very fresh. My wife had the salmon I had the mahi. Oddly enough we could not find any red fish on the menu. Wine list was ok, even though our waiter kept pushing a Rose after we told him we are not rose drinkers. Service was fine otherwise. The dessert choices were skimpy. Altogether a... read more

Stay away from this restaurant if you'd like to enjoy a cigar after your meal. When we sat down for dinner we mentioned to the waiter that we would like to have a smoke afterwards. He said this wouldn't be a problem and he would find a got table for us. After spending more than $200 on a mediocre meal... More

We had dinner at Red Fish Grill on our last night in Miami and the three of us all felt it was our most enjoyable evening. The restaurant is attractive with dining offered inside or outside. The food was very good, especially the bouillabaisse. The staff were wonderful, friendly and efficient. We loved the drive through Coral Gables and then... More

I went there for my anniversary dinner a week ago. I have been there before, and was looking forward to it. I requested a table outside, it was a very pleasant evening, a light breeze out of the south, and if you have been there or know the surroundings, that can be delightful. Red Fish Grill is situated at Matheson... More

The resturant is located in the most romantic location of south Florida. Five stars for location! The food is at best 2 stars. At the costs associated with this place compared to other fine dining restaurants, the difference is the food at the other top quality restaurants is actually 5 stars. The service gets 1 stars! I get better service... More

This place is the ultimate romantic get away. We ate here for Miami Spice and found it to be a great deal. The scenery is amazing and the food was actually very good. We had our wedding here and the food remained to be amazing and fresh. They allow your guests to order on the spot and not preorder so... More

How should I start off? After being seated by the hostess, we were kindly greeted by Aaron. Who was both hospitable and knowledgeable. He's obviously someone who seems to enjoy his job and genuinely cares for his customers. Thanks to him we were able to enjoy a perfect dinner and dessert. He even recommended us a great champagne. The restaurant... More

The menu items are not many but they are all delicious I had a friend that has eaten most all of the items on the menu and said everything has been wonderful. I had the mahi-mahi and it was fantastic. The waitstaff is all very friendly and the atmosphere is nice. You have the ocean and the sailboats and if... More

The view, the ambiance, the service, and, oh, yes, the food! This was a lovely evening and our best restaurant experience on a trip to Miami. The food was absolutely fabulous (although I don't particularly care for yucca, their yucca chips were pretty tasty), with a menu specializing in local seafood, fresh and beautifully prepared. The setting is gorgeous and... More

This restaurant is located in a popular park that closes around dark, however you are allowed to enter for the restaurant. There is a very nice walk around the salt water swimming area with a great view of Miami in the distance.
