Description: Remember when Matt Dillon was eavesdropping on Cameron Diaz in the movie "There's Something About Mary"? They were at Red Fish Grill. And what a location! Whether dining outside under the Palms at the edge of Biscayne Bay or in the historic coral stone dining room, this restaurant is like nowhere else. It's a slice of Florida that disappeared long ago in most parts of Miami. But it's a lot more than atmosphere that brings in the locals and notables. The menu is dedicated to fresh local seafood, cooked with a gourmet twist, sometimes Caribbean... sometimes Asian. Best bets: Fennel Seared Yellowfin Tuna on Crispy Wonton, Crab Cakes with Tropical Melon Slaw, Red Snapper with Shaved Red Onion Fennel Salad, Herb Crusted Sea Bass with White Bean Ragout, homemade Key Lime Pie and Caramel Flan with Toasted Coconut. And a wine list that's reasonable and varied. Please visit our website for further details.

The day of our reservations it was raining so we had to sit inside. I had never sat inside before because part of the experience to going to RFG is to enjoy the view. However, it was very nice ambience inside, and the service was excellent. Our server was very friendly and offered some wine suggestions to go with our... More

The Red Fish Grill is somewhat off the beaten track, being at the end of the road through Matheson Park in South Miami. But it is worth the effort to find. We have been there twice and have enjoyed excellent seafood and equally excellent service. Tonight we enjoyed the Ceviche of the Day, a tuna ceviche with a little kick,... More

My wife and I thought we'd try a date night here while we were in Miami and we both loved it. We were graciously seated despite arriving late and even given our choice of table. The mahi mahi and crab cake was ok but the salmon was the best I've ever had. Solid drink menu but the thing that stood... More

If you're looking for a cozy, hidden gem.. Red Fish Grill is the place. No other restaurant will bring you on the shore of a beautiful South Florida beach. The staff and servers are extremely accommodating, professional and friendly. I have been to this restaurant five times and it has always been a magical and romantic experience.

Red Fish Grill will no longer be my go-to restaurant for out of town guests. The atmosphere, normally so nice, was ruined the last time I was there, when I was humiliated because there was a problem with processing the charge for the meal. While the next day one manager said that they were having problems with charges because of... More

My husband I got married in a private ceremony on the beach at Mattheson Hammock Park (where Red Fish Grill is located), but didn't have a chance to enjoy the restaurant at the time. Last weekend we were back in Miami and made a reservation for dinner at Red Fish. We had a fantastic experience and can't wait to go... More

We hadn't visited the Redfish Grill to dine in nearly 14 years, and had, over the years, heard mixed reviews of the food. Until 7 years ago we lived walking distance to the entrance of Matheson Hammock Park, in which this restaurant discreetly sits.It is housed in the building that, until hurricane Andrew in 1992, was the dockmaster's office for... The establishment has a very nice view. The cuisine was excellent, as was the staff. The chef even went to the trouble of preparing a makeshift steaming device for a requested deviation from their standard means of preparing Maine lobster.
