If you're in the Coral Gables area and you're looking for something other than Starbucks, you got to give Cafe Demetrio a try. A charming little cafe for someone who has made it out of their teens and who is looking to get away from the "corporate" feel of a chain coffee house . We went on a Saturday (late... More

I love this spot for an afternoon break for coffee and a cigar in the quiet courtyard that has shaded areas and comfortable tables to enjoy with friends. Particularly on a beautiful spring day, the patio provides a nice place to relax. The inside tables are also comfortable and cozy for codified and conversation. Friday nights are live music nights... I came here for a business breakfast and had coffee and an egg dish. It was a cute place with a courtyard but very crowded. It was fairly inexpensive with a coffee house type menu. I asked for my dish with no meat but it arrived with meat (which I don't eat) so I had to send it back. They... More

This is a Venezuelan establishment posing as an European coffee house. The food and coffee are OK, but the service is just atrocious. There are several other bona fide options for bistro food and great coffee; try Chocolate Fashion or Graziano's; both nearby.

This little gem doesn't look like much but has delicious coffees complete with a heart carved into the foam. The six different breakfast specials include eggs, croissants, and your choice of a mocha, latte or cappuccino. In the evening there's tapas and wine and the atmosphere is very comfortable. It doesn't matter if you run the Chamber of Commerce, you... More

The coffee is good and the lattes have the cute sugar/cinnamon heart on the foam, but the recommendation from the hotel was to have the Spanish omelet and it was awful. More like a potato quiche: all potato with a bit of egg to bind it together; very disappointing. Primarily carbs; no veggies. The Demetrio's sandwich, on the other hand,... More

Located on a corner between Alhambra Circle and Miracle Mile, this cafe has limited hours more in keeping with local workers. They have indoor and outdoor seating - very limited space but people stay for awhile to read, play chess, Internet etc. The food is great - slightly different from classical flavors, I had a delicious ham and swisscheese sandwich... We are flying out of Miami and had several hours before flight. We needed a nice quite place to do some computer work and to charge our many electronics. I did a search and found Cafe Demetrio. I am sitting in the cafe as I type. It is lovely! GREAT menu of Bistro style food. I can see electrical outlets... More
