Nice neighborhood spot

We've stopped for both breakfast and lunch. Ham and cheese croissants are delicious, as is the toasted French bread. The latte had a design floating in the foam done in chocolate and was excellent. The regular coffee was average. For lunch, the tuna sandwich was very generous though it really... read more

We've stopped for both breakfast and lunch. Ham and cheese croissants are delicious, as is the toasted French bread. The latte had a design floating in the foam done in chocolate and was excellent. The place is in a corner and offers coffee and some food like sandwiches, light salads, and desserts (mostly from Costco). Since I saw that the desserts were from Costco, I passed on the food and tried the coffee. You order at the register and then sit yourself where you can find room. We went there twice on our brief... Good place for breakfast in a busy location. Service was friendly, prompt and the food was well-prepared. Great espresso coffee, in keeping with the area's cultural demands. Looks like business people from the nearby office buildings like it too.

One of the true conundrums of the 21st century is how restaurants that offer such crummy service still manage to remain open. This is a South American (Venezuelan) run cafe and pastry shop that masquerades as a European coffee house. The bistro fare is subpar with a hefty price tag, and the service is non-existent. People in the 'hood wonder... More

This is a cute little place as long as you can sit outside, away from the creaky sloping floors and the musty smell indoors. The staff are inexperienced, even for a little coffee house. Their customer service and manners need some serious improvement. Their food is just OK for being prepackaged and refrigerated. Their only saving grace is the patio and... More

There was a dazzling array of food here -- wraps, sandwiches, salads, omelettes, and desserts. But I strutted in for cappuccino, having just dined elsewhere, in the Grove. I placed my order at the register counter and was handled a numbered placard, which I placed on my selected table. In two minutes I was sipping my luscious coffee amidst attractive... More

If you're in the Coral Gables area and you're looking for something other than Starbucks, you got to give Cafe Demetrio a try. A charming little cafe for someone who has made it out of their teens and who is looking to get away from the "corporate" feel of a chain coffee house . We went on a Saturday (late... More

Great little independent restaurant. Bowl of Soup (mushroom to die for) and small sandwich like $8.00. place your order and server brings it to you,in and out in 35minutes. seating inside or tree covered patio. Music at night, a fun place.
