Mexico.... home of Talavera, the unique fine art pottery from the 16th Century, native of the city of Puebla. This genuine and refined Mexican spirit of the Talavera art sets the ground for the spirit of our menu. From the "Huarache" grill, a series of delicate dishes served on a corn tortilla base, to a variety of regional specialties from Sonora to Oaxaca, from Michoacan to Puebla, from Jalisco to Yucatan. Talavera, the art of a genuine and refined taste of Mexico.

Great mexican food (outside Mexico!)

I visited this restaurant with my family for a Saturday lunch. The place is really nice, I loved the decoration. The food was really good too, and service very friendly and attentive. For sure I will come back here!!!!

We all had the huarache beef medium and it was superb. For my guests it was the 1st time but they loved it the same way i did. The taste is an explosion because of the feta, sauce and the meat. Just go there!!

Thank you, Trip Advisor, for leading us to this gem. We are Mexican food snobs, being New Mexicans living in Texas. Run of the mill, lowest common denominator does not cut it. Talavera is the real deal: authentic, fresh, creative without being pretentious. The red salsa alone is worth going for. Everything we had was delicious. It's a smaller place,... More

Living in LA, I know great Mexican food and this place has it. We had 7 for a business lunch and tried many appetizers and entries and everything was wonderful. The green salsa was hot and awesome. Home made guacamole was great and the appetizer with melted cheese and chorizo was amazing. We mostly had the shrimp tacos and the... More

Visited for dinner on a week night while staying in Coral Gables. The place was busy with locals, always a good sign. The service was fast and friendly. The green salsa that comes with the free corn chips while you wait is truly a revelation (read: spicy cubed!). We loved it so much we asked for more with the main... More

I've eaten her various times and the food is good and consistent. There are a lot of places to eat Mexican in Miami but none that I've found that are as nice to eat AND hang out at as Talavera. I've ordered all kinds of things on the menu and have yet to be disappointed.

My Word! I went to this restaurant with two of my coworkers in Jan. 2015 and had a great time. The service was fantastic. The food was spectacular. I had mahi mahi on a tortilla and some type of magic red sauce, lol. However the highlight of our experience was the sauces that came with the complimentary chips - a... More

Pros -------- Cons Service Food I had a disappointing lunch at this joint. I had ordered an appetizer, never got it and my main course was something else that I didn't order. Never got refills for our drinks... Just horrible. Maybe the service was terrible on that specific day, who knows. But the truth is I will not be back... More

Great authentic Mexican food. Worth the trip if you're looking for the real deal. Everything was served promptly and the food was hot and the service was good. No complaints.
