Description: Mexico.... home of Talavera, the unique fine art pottery from the 16th Century, native of the city of Puebla. This genuine and refined Mexican spirit of the Talavera art sets the ground for the spirit of our menu. From the "Huarache" grill, a series of delicate dishes served on a corn tortilla base, to a variety of regional specialties from Sonora to Oaxaca, from Michoacan to Puebla, from Jalisco to Yucatan. Talavera, the art of a genuine and refined taste of Mexico.

But the rest of the food was poor. Priced as a high end restaurant, you wouldn't expect greasy and salty taco's. Also why doesn't the restaurant let you mix and match taco's - who wants 3 of the same Taco? Average and over-priced

The Restaurant is beautiful and the location great ,but the service is lacking. This is not Tex-Mex .....this is the real thing so don't expect everything to be covered in cheese. I found the food delicious , but my wide did not care for the seasoning. The staff were friendly once we got their attention and the food arrived quickly... More

When Talavera opened in the Gables several years ago, it made a splash. Good food, good prices, good service. It had been a mainstay, go to restaurant when the family was in the mood for Mexican. Our last few visits were marked by a steady decline, notably in service but to some extent food. The service was nothing but chaotic... More

I returned to Talavera after a two-year gap and was severely disappointed. I went for lunch with my wife and the restaurant was not full and had adequate staff to provide reasonable service. My order came our correct and my wife's order was wrong and had to be recooked which took 20 minutes more. The bread pudding dessert was terrible,... More

Went for a late dinner on a Friday with my wife, we were headed to an Italian Place, but got pulled by Talavera's atmosphere, it looked as it was a happening place and decided to give it a try. The Hostess was very nice and accommodating even if we didn't have a reservation. We had two servers that evening and... More

I strolled into this classy restaurant shortly after it opened, the place not yet packed with the lunch crowd. I selected a table by the window overlooking Ponce de Leon Boulevard, which allowed me to people-watch. Lots of pedestrians plying the sidewalks abutting the busy streets. In singles, couples, small and large groups, men in dress shirts with ties or... More

Good authentic Mexican food. Miami Spice menu was decent. The margaritas are some of the best in Miami. Good service, decent prices.

The menu had a lot of choices and variety. I had a hard time making a choice. I went with the chicken enchiladas and they were wonderful...very creamy and cheesy. I wish I was close by so I could try other things on the menu. The guacamole was also very good. I ordered a mango margarita as well...it was tasty... More

Try the Mexico beef tacos and queso fundido grood place and nice decor. The location is wonderful and excellent service and the restaurant was really busy. I love coral gables and this place I back again.
