Miami's best Mexican

Centric Ponce de leon Blvd location. Choice to Dine in or out. Super tasting multi colored tortilla chips &Guacamole was an extra generous serving that 4 diners could not finish. Great plate of swiss enchiladas in a green sauce. Beef was also large portion and very tasty. Margaritas were very good.

We have been going to Talavera for many years. We have been traveling to Mexico for several years and appreciate the cuisine. Not the Tex-Mex cheesy nachos you expect to eat at a game or or Taco Bell. Fine Mexican cuisine is not an oxymoron or, it is just misunderstood. The complexity of flavors and textures can only be captured... More

Everything here was delicious. From the chips and salsa to our main meal, everything was great. Great flavors and friendly staff. Highly recommend trying the chicken or fish huarache.

They were able to seat us with no reservation so that really impressed me right away. The menu is unique mexican with great choices. We loved every thing we ordered. The Margaritas were awesome also. We took the Flan to go and it was sooo good. This is walking distance to many of the hotels in Coral Gables and the... More

Food here is excellent and the service is always professional. The fare is Mexican but not like anything you're probably used to. Menu has great variety. Enjoy the décor while you eat.

I've been here for two years and coming from Chicago I've eaten tons of Mexican food. It's always been no frills Mexican so essentially not Rick Bayless. So when I keep looking at the menu of Talavera I was torn whether or not to go because I had really no expectations and didn't think it could recreate that corner of... More

The food here was outstanding! We stopped in for a beer and ended up ordering food, and then more food, from the bar. The bar staff was really not attentive enough to be serving food as we had to ask for things multiple times and some things we never actually got. However, I would definitely return and sit down to... More

Nice easy service, interesting menu and the classics done very well. Really excellent margarita to wash down my fish, and the beef tacos were simple and executed beautifully. Highly recommended.

I was treated terribly by the bar staff the minute I walked in the door (with the seat literally being taken out from under me). We visited this restaurant on May 5th (Cinco de Mayo), which I realize was a busy night for this particular restaurant. This was our first time there. I approached the hostess, and asked if I...
