Very good first impression.

Saw this restaurant in the local newspaper and decided to give it a try. Although not a fancy place, its well decorated, quaint and clean. We visited on a Saturday for the roast pork special. The owner was serving tables, handling take out and making it happen all on his own. He welcomed us, and... read more

We wanted to try an "authentic Cuban" restaurant since we recently moved to the area. This one looked good, being new and shiny and clean. The food was okay, though its authenticity may well be in the fact that a Cuban family runs the restaurant and the names seem Cuban. It lacks the Latin friendliness and flair we've come to... More

My Cuban-American husband and I stopped in to try out this little known, tucked away restaurant off of U.S. 1 in Cocoa. We've wanted to stop in for a while now, but have not had the opportunity until recently. We stopped for dinner on a Friday night and had their daily special, which was terrific. The food was good, the... More

We had a great lunch sharing a Cuban sandwich and black beans and rice. Very friendly and clean place. We will eat here again.

Found this small restaurant on trip to the Kennedy space Center. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was very clean. It was small. The food was very good. I only gave it in average rating because they did not have many things on the menu. The selection was limited. They have daily specials but were already out of... More

I visited on a Sat afternoon late much after the usual lunch time and much before dinner time. Upon walking in there were several tables that were dirty so we sat at one that was clean and not right next to someone else. The server who appeared to be having a bad day asked us immediately to move to another... More

After ordering papa con carne (without salt and plain white rice)the owner demanded a tip before I left! thought this was an order to go, I felt that was an insult! he was ready to start an argument, never encounter an owner ready to fight a customer because of a tip!

Went to La Tinaja for lunch last Saturday and the food was incredible! We both had the grilled pork and onions special with tostones, and it was all delicious. The food was so good we took some empanadas home for dinner (one beef and one chicken). Didn't get a chance to eat them until the next night, and after a... More
