We ate lunch here on our honeymoon on our first day in Clearwater and my wife and I really enjoyed it. We both were not very hungry, so we ended up slitting a steak dinner. The waitress did not seem to mind, and infact recommended that we at least try it. The menu had plenty of items on it that... More

We ate lunch here as a family of 4 on our first day in Clearwater and loved it. Super friendly service, fast & attentive. Menu was good and varied enough to suit both meat and fish eaters. We particularly loved the fried shrimp in hot sauce and the grouper nuggets. We tried Frenchy's Rockaway Grill later in the week but... More

The food was great and so was the service. The only thing that we didn't like was that they did not service fried oysters. Other than that, I would recommend this place. It was also across the street from the Sandpearl Resort!

If you're visiting Clearwater Beach and you're looking for some local eats....go to the original Frenchy's Cafe. Get the Grouper!!!!! Awesome!! And the burgers are fantastic!

Really liked this place…sat 8 of us quickly in the evening in a booth…wheelchair included….great fries !!!..steak, fish all good….served quickly but not rushed…minutes from beach…park easily…none of that frustrating waiting around for ages for a table that the beach front restaurants get.

Frenchy Cafe is well located, just behind the beach road. Parking for free (1 hour). Enough to have a good lunch. I can advice the burgers and longboard beer. Really good! Their prices are low and the staff is excellent.

For those of you that know of Frenchy's, we would all agree that it is THE PLACE to go for good beach-type food and also for the great atmosphere, but our last experience had us shaking our head. Dont get me wrong - the food and atmosphere were both spot on! Frenchy's Original Cafe is a small joint that packs... More

I've been going to Frenchy's since I was a kid. Every time I visit the area it's a must, they definitely don't have yummy grouper sandies like these in Atlanta. The gumbo, blackened grouper, steamed oysters are yummy yum.

This place is nothing fancy, off the beaten path a bit, but food was superb. I had the fish tacos which were a little dry, but tasty. The grouper sandwich is outstanding and would recommend a visit here.

Frenchy's is usually pretty good, but this place is probably the last on the list. 1 word: mediocre. If the prices were lower, I could justify it, but they are just average "beach food" prices. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, but it's not good either. With so many options in Clearwater, just keep walking.
