Original Charm & Tasty Food

If you want to eat at one of the original restaurants on the beach in Clearwater this is the place to go! It hasn't changed since it opened in the 80's and that gives it its charm. Its a small beach restaurant with wood panelling and a juke box - that sometimes works and sometimes doesn't... read more

Slipped out of conference for a bite to eat at Frenchy's. Ordered a Cajun grilled yellow fin tuna sandwich with pineapple coleslaw. My partner had the chicken strips. Great tuna sandwich cooked medium. Nice atmosphere. Great service. My partner said the chicken strips were very good as well.

Small quaint beachside joint. We ordered frozen drinks and fried seafood then just took a deep breath and relaxed! Perfect vacation attitude adjustment spot.

We read in one of the travel guides that this was a must go to place. It was as small as described, (had a cute way of ensuring you got your table in turn), but we sat at the bar. The Grouper sandwich (signature dish) was very average, service was patchy and so generally we were disappointed. We tried another... More

We have been here before and we will be back next year! The firecracker shrimp is awesome! The crab fries are wonderful too! I love their coleslaw too! We have been to other Frenchy's but this is our favorite. It is small so sometimes you have to wait for a table so plan accordingly!

We heard this is a must stop. Inside small but worth the wait. Grouper sandwich was everything it was known for. The special was a shrimp basket which was fantastic. The fish spread was amazing with their special hot sauce. The highlight was the Parmesan Crab Fries which were to die for. A must stop when at Clearwater Beach,

Our airport shuttle driver recommended that we go to Frenchy's for the best grouper sandwich in Clearwater. There are multiple Frenchy's locations now, but we went to this one which is the original, and was within walking distance of our hotel. They did not disappoint. My husband enjoyed the grouper sandwich and I was in bliss with a crab and... More

This Frenchy's is a little out of the way but it's my favorite. It's the ultimate seaside drop-in cafe. She-crab soup is excellent. Food is a good version of what you would expect. I just love the relaxed Florida mood.
