Read many good reviews on this restaurant and was very disappointed. We sat at a semi indoor/outdoor table, which was nice, across the street you could see the sunset. Our waitress took our orders, from memory, big mistake. My husband ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and received a grilled grouper sandwich, which he did not want. By the time his... more

We went here our first night in Clearwater. I am not a seafood fan so I had the greek salad. It was o.k. It tasted watered down to me but this restaurant is for seafood people so my family all had the grouper sandwich-one cajun the rest had grilled & they really liked it-thus the 4 star rating. We also... more

My wife and I sat at the bar and got a FREE drink with our meal. We had the Mahi Mahi sandwich ($8.50). I couldn't tell the difference from the grouper sandwich ($10.50) and it was cheaper. We sat next to some locals from just down the beach. They eat there on a regular basis. more

We had dinner at Frenchy's Original Cafe. It is a small place off the main beach front drag. There are only a few tables inside so go early. I had the cajun grouper sandwich which was good, my husband had the fried shrimp, they were amazing. Very light breading and the taste was amazing. The group next to us had... more

We visited Frenchys Rockaway which is located on the beach. It was very busy and we had to wait for a table. When we were seated it was quite crammed in i thought. The food was ok, nothing great but the best bit is the position to watch the sunset. it is amazing. I did not think the food was worth what they... more

I used to work here 15 years ago in college and still love this place. Anytime I travel to Clearwater now, I eat at Frenchy's as often as I can. I was there a few weeks ago and had lunch at Frenchy's 3 days in a row and even took some food home in a cooler on the airplane. Be... more

This is a wonderful place for the freshest seafood off the boat at a reasonable cost. The place is very small with about 7 booths, 4 outdoor tables, and bar seating, so plan on sitting at the bar if it is busy. I love fish and this grouper sandwich was a true treat! Fish seasonings (got it grilled) were perfect.... more

Try the Grouper Rueben sandwich.... and if this is your first time... and they're busy... there's a clipboard on the right side of the bar immediately across from the entrance, which you need to sign in on to get you name on the waitlist for a table - this seems to be a local secret... had us waiting for awhile... more

Prices are very reasonable, portions are more than adequate, great ambiance and service, with a menu that ranges from simple too interesting. Tried the Conch Ceviche Salad, which was a first for me. The conch was surprsingly tender prepared in this manner. I also had a grilled seafood platter, which was exceptional. With drinks, Apps, Salads, and entrees, my Wife... more

I ate there on 2/5/2009. This is very small spot kinda hidden resturant. Our waitress was amazing, she did a great job and was very quick with all requests and we went at 730 which was a busy time. They do have very limited seating though so i would reccomend going a little early. I had the original Grouper sandwich... more
