Excellent food excellent service at a reasonable price. Must also be popular with the Phillies because it seemed that all their brass was there the same night, Dallas Green, Pat Gullick, Dave Montgomery, even Sarge, the Bull and Harry Kalas. Our waitress, who was probably in her late sixties, was the best waiter/waitress we have had in some time. If... more

I was very disappointed with my experience with the Beachcomber. I tried to make reservations a month out for my 30th birthday and I was told that I could not be guaranteed the time I wanted to dine because there "might be other guests in the restaurant". I was confused about this. I am not in the restaurant business, but... more

We went out to eat here because it's one of my grandpa's favorite places to eat. And yep... it's a place a grandpa could love. The place has not been redone since the seventies, which I would happily forgive if the food had been revamped since the seventies. Bar drinks were great. Waiter was smarmy but very attentive and very... more

A coworker and myself spent the week in Clearwater, FL on business. We wanted to eat out at a nice restaurant to end the week so we found this place on tripadvisor. Based on the reviews it sounded like this place was worth the visit. First of all, the layout of the restaurant is really nice and inviting. After that... more

After a referral from a "local" business owner and reading reviews online my wife and I celebrated our 31st anniversary at this restaurant while in Clearwater Beach. Our diner consisted of shrimp cocktail and clams casino, salads and two prime rib orders. All the food was large portioned. All were rated as great or perfect except my clams’ casino that... more

We had a lovely meal(myself, husband & well-behaved 5 year old); excellent fillet steak and a beautiful chicken dish. We each had gin & tonic (favourite tipple, bit of an expert) but unfortunately could barely drink them as they were SO strong - even after asking for extra tonic! Definitely value for money; good food, brilliant service, lovely atmosphere (pianist)... more

Elegant surroundings and teriffic food. I had black grouper-among the best I have ever had. Husband had a filet-could have been a bit juicier. Overall, although expensive, we really enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere. more

I've eaten at the Beachcomber on numerous occasions. I have never been unhappy with the service nor the food. For the price, it is about as good as it gets. I love the atmosphere (white tablecloths and napkins, lovely china, courteous service) and the food is very good. The relish tray is wonderful. Highly recommended for locals and for visitors. more

My husband and I went to Beachcomber for dinner before a show this past weekend. We went early, about 5:15 so it was not very busy. The atmosphere was really quite nice, not what I expected from previous reviews. It did not seem outdated at all. The waiter did not seem to know the menu well, but he was very... more

I'll start by saying that I was a waiter here about thirty years ago, and we were back in Clearwater as a family for a visit. The thing that impressed me most about our dinner experience was how little things had changed. Of course the dining room had been updated to a certain degree, but really not that much -... more
