This was an excellent experience from start to finish. We went there for our Anniversary dinner and were treated like royalty the entire night. Jorge provided impeccable service and was very attentive. Our appetizer of shrimp cocktail was delicious. The wedge salad and black bean soup were one of the best we have had anywhere. During a recent visit to Clearwater Beach, FL, my guests and I decided to have dinner at Bob Hellman's Beachcomber. One of the individuals had dined at this establishment on several occasions and made the recommendation. I found the food to be average at best and overpriced. As part of dinner, we decided to order a bottle of champagne/sparkling water.... More

Went checkto dinner with my wife & friends on 3/19/2015, Thursday! This is one of the finest restaurants we have ever eaten in! Expect to be there at least 2 hours as the drinks/appetizers/meal is steadily paced & the service is totally outstanding!( Ask for Jorge-Great Server)!!! Bring your check book or credit/debit card as prices are steep but Worth... More

Fantastic food and service. All 10 people agreed it was one of the best dinners ever. The Scotch menu was off the charts and a real treat. Hard to find any restaurant that can deliver a better experience that this.

We tried going last year and the area was so crowded we could not get to the restaurant. This year I insisted we go. It was so worth it! This restaurant was my favorite. We ate out 8 nights on this vacation and this was our last night. What a wonderful end to our vacation. You get a wonderful relish... More

Went with 2 friends....white table clothes, candles, great ambiance. Food was ok, service was ok and prices were high end. Constantly getting chair bumped into by staff....just wasnt a great dining experience.

From the piano player to the relish trays, this restaurant takes you back to the heyday of fine dining out. Half expected one of the Rat Pack to wonder in and start singing a few tunes. The food was good and service excellent. I had two huge lobster tails for just $35. Entrees in general are little pricey, but portions... More

Before going to the Beachcomber, we read lots of reviews of this restaurant we had eaten at many, many times when we lived on the Beach. While not expecting the 60's and 70's or even 80's to return, we did anticipate a very good meal. Went on Thursday and made reservations. Humm... must have gone on an "off" night. We... More

I really liked this place. I loved that it was retro, I loved the outdoor space and I loved the eccentricity. The relish tray is unique but also - I LOVE cottage cheese so it made me happy. The food was very good. I had surf & Turf; my steak was a little fatty but definitely delicious and cooked to... More

Was here 6 years ago and just love this place. A bit of a throwback environment with piano player nightly but service and food was terrific. Had the Bronzed grouper one night and the Scallops another. My favorite restaurant in Clearwater Beach
