I came here with my family and was hoping for a nice meal on the beach. I've eaten here more than 20 times in the last few years, but it has CHANGED!!! It's not cheap by the way, especially for this area...this certainly is not New York or Chicago. My wife, my daughter and I were asked to sit at... more

My husband and I went to the Beachcomer on Friday. We had reservations for 8 but got there around 7:30 and were sat right away. It was busy but not packed for a Friday night and the first thing we noticed was everyone in there was over 50 years old. We're 25 & 26 and felt really uncomfortable. My husband... more

My wife and I spent a month in Sand Key and ate at the Beachcomber several times a week. Most of our meals we were there for lunch but did have supper at least once or twice a week. We never had a bad meal and everything was delicious and well prepared. We especially liked the fired chicken which was... more

What a treat The Beachcomber is! It has such great grace and class;without being stuffy. Our waitress could not have been nicer or more professional.Every visit our food is superb. This time we dined on a beautiful escargot appetizer and an oyster florentine, broiled scrod and Maine lobster.both were perfectly cooked. The meal came with a delicious spinach salad with hot bacon dressing and... more

Beachcomber was a very pleasant surprise...the atmosphere was very nice, it really had an unscale restaurant feel. The food was wonderful. We are from New York and whenever my husband and I eat at a good restaurant away from the city we refer to a good restaurant as "Manhattan Quality". Beachcomber is Manhanttan Quality! more

We live in Tampa and go to the Beachcomber several times a year. This is our favorite restaurant for consistently quality food and atmosphere at reasonable prices! I think we have had almost everything on the menu and they have all been outstanding! The chicken livers, fried chicken, salmon, fish and scallops are all delicious! The seafood is delivered fresh... more

My wife and I visit Clearwater Beach as much as we can and Beachcomber looked like a nice upscale place to have a nice diner. We made reservations and decided to go for Valentines. The menu offerings looked good and the prices seemed reasonable. I ordered the shrimp and scallops and my wife ordered the salmon. The start was the... more

I'm not anywhere near 70 and I enjoyed the place. But then I enjoy good food and good wine. An enormous wine list that was very impressive. I had the fried chicken just because I was shocked to see a place like this being a fine dining establishment serving fried chicken. It was great and there was so much of... more

"Okay, but some problems" fits this place. Made a reso for 8:30, but overbooked the evening and we didn't get seated until 9pm. Menu was fixed and prices raised $10 for the same food for the new year's eve dinner. Service was not impressive. Go to the Sandpearl across the street for better food, better service and better atmosphere at... more
