Old style Florida restaurant with yummy food

This restaurant reminds me of places I visited as a kid in Florida. The food is excellent: great seafood, meats and poultry. The service is excellent, and they still bring out a relish tray and yummy breads. Your dinner includes soup or salad and sides. I had an amazing grouper while the rest of... read more

Romantic, fun and delicious! We had a fantastic dinner and would recommend to anyone who loves seafood and steak. Our scallops and grouper were to-die-for and our waiter was extremely attentive without being overwhelming. We'll be back next time we're in Clearwater!

We had heard this was a good place to eat and so we made a reservation for tonight (Friday night) and we were very, very happy with the evening. This is a bit more upscale than most places on Clearwater Beach. The restaurant is beautiful and we were fortunate to get one of the nice booths for the two of... More

This is the last time we will go back as the food quality just keeps getting worse. We were there last Thursday for dinner with 8 other family members. There were maybe 6 to 8 other people there at about 7pm. Service was ok, food was anything but. Scallops.....tough and dry Shrimp....luke warm and rubbery The special of the night....tasteless... We got here for dinner at about 4:15 p.m. and ordered the trout and chopped sirloin off the early bird menu (4-5 p.m.). Our meals came with a dish of bread (sliced white bread, muffins, and banana nut bread) and a relish tray for the table, choice of salad or soup, the entrees with a vegetable, and a desert. They... Didn't ask how long the wait was but there were folks lining up outside. With just two of us we just pressed pass the crowds and bellied up to the bar. Served in seconds. Escargot was recommended by a local nearby so we partook. Absolutely out of this world. Fantastic. Best we've ever had! But ask for extra crustinies...

I had a business meeting in Clearwater, FL, which is a touristy location. The Beachcomber restaurant is very near the water. The restaurant does not look like much from the outside, but great food is waiting for you on the inside. Inside, the decor is not much to write about. Your typical Florida beach restaurant. When you walk in, there... More

This is a long.term tradition in clearwater beach. Fine dining with the price tag to go with it. Wide-ranging menu. Service was first class. Standouts were the salads and soup entre and the fish of the day. The veal was excellent. For a.quiet elegant night at the beach.

This is my second time at the Beachcomber, and it was even better than my first time. I arrived for dinner on Jan 1, 2016 and had an amazing experience. Mrs. Heilman selected the perfect champagne to accompany my lump crab cocktail, and an even more perfect pairing of Terra Valentine Cabernet with my steak which was cooked to absolute... More

Normally don't bother with lunch at a beach place such as this but my sister who's visiting suggested the Beachcomber and was not upset that she did. As it is a week day and pretty chilly the place was not overcrowded. Additionally we got there before lunch stop being served. The lunch menu was not extensive but each of us... More
