Go for the Cuban Sandwich

Had time to kill before our kayak trip and this restaurant was recommended by the tour company. Never had a Cuban before . The combination of flavors was very tasty. I only wish the entire sandwich was warmed all the way through, not just the edges. Pushed fries and plantains round out the meal... read more

Amazing food! Breakfast is fantastic! Make sure you try the Rena and the Cafe con Leche. The house made hot sauce is so delicious and spicy! Dinner was fabulous! We had the shrimp appetizer, scallops, and pork chop! All fantastic! I cannot wait to return!

After a day at the airboats, its worth your while to travel through Everglades City and continue on to Chokoloskee Island and enjoy a wonderful lunch at the Havana Cafe. The grouper is fresh and delicious. You must try the grouper cheeks. THe wait staff was extremely busy, but very efficient and friendly.

This place is great. We had lunch here today and sat outside on their leafy patio. I had the Mussels and they were amazing. I don't know why it took us so long to find this Cuban gem but we will be back soon.

The Havana cafe service was fair! The quality of the food was acceptable! I ordered the Pork plate and it was luke warm and had no real favor to it! The tuna sandwich was good! It appeared that the wait staff was overwhelmed and slow in taking food orders. I would not recommend this cafe!

We had lunch here today. Perfect weather, food and our waitstaff, Dilcia, was a hoot. The sangria was the best I've ever had. The shrimp enchilada was fantastic. The outdoor dining space is charming. We are going back for breakfast tomorrow. Also, John Boehner was there having lunch too.

This Cuban place is AWESOME! Beautiful surroundings in the restaurant patio area take you away and the food is authentic and delicious.

Fantastic Cuban food made by Cuban family owners. Best black bean soup Ive ever had. Cuban sandwicjh was delicious. Seemed like a good place for locals too. Would definitely return if ever in that area again.
