This is a great place to grab a cuban coffee! Also if you love cuban food this is the spot for you. The staff is friendly and you can sit inside or outside on the gorgeous patio. Located on historical Chokolaskee it is a great place to eat or snack in between sightseeing. You may want to call ahead this... More

When we walked in, I debated on whether or not to stay due to the numerous kids running around, yelling, crawling, squeezing between tables, etc. I realize that's not the restaurants fault per se, but there's no reason a manager can't tell people to get their kids under control. They were extremely busy, and the only way to get a... More

The lunch menu has the usual fare to be expected at an eatery in a seemingly dilapidated small coastal town – hamburger, grilled cheese sandwich, tuna sandwich, etc. Waitress eventually came around and rattled off a pretty extensive list of specials that bore no resemblance to the menu items. I had a bowl of the shrimp and lobster bisque. Very... More

What a trip! The servers were wo nice and the food (and beer) a real treat! You can sit outside at small tables and get personal friendly service with suggestions of what to order.

If you are looking for an authentic Cuban restaurant, then come to the Havana Cafe! I loved the Cuban sandwich, and the beer was awesome!

Good place for breakfast and lunch - we tried it both and the food was really good. The service is a little slow and not the most friendly, but our waitress seemed to be a little overwhelmed - especially during the lunch service. She was much nicer the next morning for breakfast.

We stopped in after a visit to Everglades City for crocodile watching. Didn't see any crocs but this restaurant made up for the disappointment. The sandwiches are super and we each got a different kind- the media noche and the cuban- and shared. My favorite was the cuban and the wonderful yellow bread that the sandwich was served on. Need... Two years ago I was in Chokoloskee on a Saturday night and heard at breakfast that the Havana Cafe had a Paella special on Saturday nights. I gave it a try expecting it to be good but not expecting it to be great. It was great! The rice was delicious on its own and the seafood was fresh and abundant:... More

If you can resist the several excellent seafood restaurants in Everglades City, drive on to Chokoloskee and the small Havana Cafe. It is definitely worth the extra 4-5 miles down the spit. Had lunch on a warm & windy Sunday, and the outside seating was perfect. Indoors seating is non-A/C & limited, but the extended patio under the trees is... More
