In the land of the blind the one-eyed man is king!!! Thus the Island Hotel rates high when stacked against the seafront restaurants that make a mockery of good food in Cedar Key. The dining here is gracious and the service is actually service!!! Fine linens and a charming old high-ceiling dining room make up for the lack of sea... more

Great little bar for before dinner drinks, dining room has modest ambience, but excellent food with good service. We recommend it! more

Our group "The Crab Crew" were recently at the Island Hotel for the Seafood Festival and all fifteen of us had dinner in the courtyard. It was fantastic, everyone of us really enjoyed the food and the service. My favorite was the grits that had a bacon/seafood cream sauce and the grouper sandwich. I thought it would be really hard... more
