Description: Welcome to Tony's in the beautiful island community of Cedar Key. We are located in the Hale Building (circa 1880) in the downtown historical district across the street from the historical museum at 2nd Street and SR 24. Tony's is noted for our 3 time World Champion Clam Chowder and our fresh seafoods. We are a small 54 seat restaurant and very popular. During peak times (1-3pm) and (7-8pm) there maybe a wait for a table. We provide covered bench seating right outside the front entry. Please be patient if all tables are taken. Our wait staff is great at getting everyone in, especially those that are patient. Our inside front dining area has no waiting area, so please allow us to visit you outside the front covered area when your table is ready. At Tony's our policy is total customer satisfaction. If there is anything about your dining experience that is not acceptable, please inform your server right away and our Management staff will do whatever it takes to make sure you are completely satisfied with your dining experience. We love compliments from our diners and always encourage them to contact us. Thank you for making Tony's Seafood Restaurant Cedar Key's favorite for nearly 8 years.

Worth the visit to have a bowl of Clam Chowder if nothing else. The place is old and nice, and they have much more than just chowder to make anyone happy. We rented a house a block away, so it was easy for us to walk to it. Gotta try it if you make the trek to Cedar Key!

While visiting Cedar Key back in June, we ate at Tony's a couple of times. Once for only the terrific, awesome, award winning clam chowder, and once for a seafood platter for two, plus chowder, all terrific. We had previously eaten at Tony's on another visit to Cedar Key and loved it. In our opinion and for our taste, it... More

Spent the weekend in Cedar Key. Having never visited before, I was completely dependent on tripadvisor for dinner recommendations. We decided on Tony's. There was a total of 6 of us. We went around 6:00 and was quickly seated. We started off with the corn nuggets- which were very good, as well as two bowls of their famous chowder. The... More

I have eaten in several restaurants that claimed to have Championship this or that so I was somewhat skeptical about the 3 time World Championship Clam Chowder. I am now a believer. It is easily the best chowder I have ever had and I have tried hundreds of chowders over the years. Very creamy, lots of clams and a nice... More

We had the seafood platter for 2 which was very good. We asked for everything grilled rather than fried and they were very willing to accommodate that request. Our server was excellent - she even broke open the crabs for us to show us how it was done. The shrimp and scallops were the highlight of the platter.

Well to start with, I am always very skeptical when a restaurant flaunts that they offer the "world's best" or "award winning" cuisine. In fact we almost didn't try this place but the young woman at our hotel said they had a really good fish sandwich and the other place she recommended was a much further walk on a very... More

We were told that this was the place to go for clam chowder. Being from New England, I am fussy about my clam chowder. Tony's was good, but not great. I order steamed clams and shrimp over pasta. The pasta was dry with no sauce or seasoning of any kind. My mother had the steak sub, and found the meat... More

BNest clam chowder I have ever eaten, try the " low country boil", fish sandwich, or shrimp sandwich, service is excellent, never had to wait more than a few minutes to get in, best time to go is during the week.

Not what I expected at all. This is a casual little restaurant with an excellent reputation, so it is possible that my hopes were a bit too high. Let me just say that the wait staff is wonderful. We were seated at a small table in the rear dining room, and it was very stuffy in there. Our waitress moved... More
