Description: Welcome to Tony's in the beautiful island community of Cedar Key. We are located in the Hale Building (circa 1880) in the downtown historical district across the street from the historical museum at 2nd Street and SR 24. Tony's is noted for our 3 time World Champion Clam Chowder and our fresh seafoods. We are a small 54 seat restaurant and very popular. During peak times (1-3pm) and (7-8pm) there maybe a wait for a table. We provide covered bench seating right outside the front entry. Please be patient if all tables are taken. Our wait staff is great at getting everyone in, especially those that are patient. Our inside front dining area has no waiting area, so please allow us to visit you outside the front covered area when your table is ready. At Tony's our policy is total customer satisfaction. If there is anything about your dining experience that is not acceptable, please inform your server right away and our Management staff will do whatever it takes to make sure you are completely satisfied with your dining experience. We love compliments from our diners and always encourage them to contact us. Thank you for making Tony's Seafood Restaurant Cedar Key's favorite for nearly 8 years.

We have been staying on Cedar Key for a week and have heard nothing but praise about Tony's world famous clam chowder. Being it was our last day on the island we decided to go see what all the hoop-la was about. The restaurant is really quaint. It is small and I can see it filling up fast, but even... More

After a visit on 12-17-14, we were very pleased with the appetizers! Enjoyed the clam chowder, steamed clams, and the fried clams. The amount was plentiful for the price. The reviews regarding the service were incorrect! We had the wonderful waitress, Jean Marie, she was very attentive and very pleasant! She offered good suggestions on how to prepare the canned... Nice atmosphere, friendly and helpful server, and very good food. We all tried the clam chowder and found it delicious. They sell it, and the only reason I didn't buy some was that it's pretty spicy, which I like, but my husband would never eat it as he does not like spicy food! One companion had a cheeseburger and the... More

I have never been a big fan of clam chowder, but Tony's chowder has converted me. And spoiled me as well. It is awesome. The place is small but their menu delivers big. I had the corn nuggets, too and they were delicious. My Sweetie had the oyster sandwich and loved every bite of it.

We spoke to a frequent visitor to Cedar Key out by their restaurant row which is built on pilings and asked for a recommendation for seafood lunch. He told us to go to Tony's which was a "9" and the other ones were a "6" (I presumed out of 10) and he gave us general directions. If this quaint town... More

Third trip to Cedar Key and love it...but Tony's is not worth your bucks unless you just want chowder. Went over the Thanksgiving weekend with the family and made reservations for the Friday after. We ordered seafood platters and what a joke for $35. Nothing on it and the crab was a mushy mess. We're from south Louisiana and appreciate... More

Only thing to whine about is no waterfront view, but it can be interesting to look at 2nd street. I don't like clam chowder regardless who makes it, but my mother does and says it is so good. She liked her grilled cheese sandwich, too. Our waitress was really friendly. I got a fried oyster sandwich and fries and really... More

I recently ate at Tony's seafood this past November. I was very skeptical about the entire "best clam chowder" being im originally from New England (Boston)! I have to say, the clam chowder was wonderful and I would recommend! We also got the sampler fried dinner for two. It was good but nothing to really brag about. There was definitely... More

It's nice to find a seafood restaurant the doesn't seem to be trying too hard. Either they're so expensive or they attempt to be rustic and local. Tony's just has good food at a good price. I had the crab cake sandwich. It had just a bit of a kick and the potato salad was definitely homemade. Our server checked... More

I've been several times and enjoyed my meals here, but the most notable item here, in my opinion, is the award winning chowder (New England style). It's rich and creamy and hits the spot. Tony's is also in a beautiful older building right in downtown Cedar Key.
