Loved everything about this cafe. The size is so quaint and the decor perfect old Florida country cafe. The food was made from scratch with herbs from the back. It was delicious!!! The waitress was great and added to the over all experience. oh ... loved that there were trivial pursuit cards to play while waiting. Definitely don't miss trying... More

Casual, eclectic decor in this small cottage restaurant on the water. Sunset views from the back porch or watch the world go by on the front. Inside, the fifties style tables, no two alike, offer comfortable seating for small groups and couples. Great place for a private party or small wedding. Chef cooks all from scratch. No frozen food truck... More

For a small off the beaten path town the food is amazing! We didn't have a bad meal anywhere. The Blue Desert came highly recommended and it was good, but I think there is more hype here than anything else. If we make it back to Cedar Key this place probably wouldn't be at the top of my list.

An eclectic little place that is a reflection of its owner/chef, this 7-table restaurant is owned and operated by Therese, who makes all dishes to order. That means you should be prepared for a leisurely meal, but it's worth it. And, there is plenty to look at among the memorabilia that decorates the walls. I recommend the bowtie pasta, the... More

The cafe is in an old house with a junkyard chic vibe. The have wine and a small beer selection and a limited menu. The folks were really nice and everything is made to order and the food was GOOD! We has crayfish etouffee and the best keylime pie I have ever had. Or you could go to the tourist... More

The Blue Desert Cafe is a little hard to find but well worth the effort. It's tiny, funky, and friendly and the food is just great. My family ordered a variety of things from seafood to pasta and everything was very good. Our server was helpful and friendly and we'll go back again on our next visit.

Bacl on Hwy 24, away from the maddening crowd, this little hole-in-the-wall has a great menu, fresh seafood. The wait for a scrumptuous meal is worth it. Can be a little pricy considering the setting, but one gets a good meal.

Tiny place just outside of town on the highway (24). Friendly waitress, great service, fun decor, a small place but truly captures the old Florida spirit. Each of us had different supper items, and each was FINE. The portions are generous, and the flavors fresh. It's not fancy, but if you love Cedar Key you will love this place,
