Great dinner

Service was very good, though, since it is a very small restaurant with, I presume, a small kitchen, wait times could be long during busy times. The food was fantastic. We love this place. So much so that we had dinner there two nights. The food is fresh, cooked to order and the wait is worth your time. Trust the chef to make it worth your time.

Went here based solely on TA reviews and as usual they were spot on. After reading the reports of long waits and not being the most patient person I wanted to go on a week day and at opening time to try and avoid the wait. We were immediately seated by Jessica(?) and had no issues waiting for menus, drinks,... More

Funky little place..food was good but service was very very slow. We didn't order anything special...the evening's ravioli and clams with linguini...took at least 45 minutes for orders that should have taken no more than 15 minutes...food was PK but not worth the wait.

Had the shrimp and scallop burrito and homemade brownie sundae, both excellent! Small and unique, but great food and wonderful service! Thanks Jessica!

We ate here in January and enjoyed it so much that we went back the next night. The waitress was attentive and the food delicious. The restaurant is in a brightly painted little house and the decor is artsy and unique - a great place to relax while waiting for your food to be prepared. It was not crowded when... More

Every year when we stay at Cedar Key we eat here because I like to support small women owned businesses. The food is good, especially in the land of fried everything. But, 15 minutes to get menus 10 minutes more to get beverage 60 minutes more to get food 10 minutes more to see if we wanted dessert. Another glass... More

This converted bungalow on the main highway, just a few block from downtown Cedar Key, offers great, fresh food, prepared from scratch, in a fun and funky setting. The dining room contains just a few tables, all from residential dining rooms and a small counter with a couple of stools. There is just one waiter and the chef, so if they... More

The Blue Desert is a bit hard to find, its on Rt 24 on the way out of Cedar Key, but the food was delicious!!! There is nothing pretentious about the Blue Desert, but its comfortable, with reasonably priced food, and has all of the charm that is Cedar Key!! We liked it so much that we wanted to go... More

We do frequent the Blue Desert as often as possible. It is our very favorite restaurant on the island. The food is always made to order and fresh. Do not be in a hurry when dining at Blue Desert and expect to wait up to an hour for your meal. During this time we share a Bruschetta and good conversation... More
