Nice view, tasty food

8 am - 6 pm beach. The restaurant is a little dated but the service was good. It was a busy night but our waitress made sure we had plenty of sour dough rolls and drinks. The food was very tasty and we all enjoyed it from steaks to fish. We had the Andouille sausage appetizer and it was very... read more

Had a terrific lunch here last weekend. It was a beautiful sunny day and we took advantage of the outside patio right on the water. This is the best outside dining location on Cedar Key. I ordered the shrimp wrap and it was perfect, although HUGE for what I thought would be a light meal. The shrimp were plentiful and... More

Finally the very last night of our visit we found this outstanding restaurant. All week we had been looking for extraordinary preparation of fresh fish and finally we found it at The Island Room at Cove Beach. There were white table cloths and in the kitchen a professional chef. The service was first rate and the wine list good for... More

We love the Island Room Restaurant. Owners and servers are courteous and gracious. What a perfect dining experience! They had no questions about our service dog either.

We went in September of 2012. We had breakfast there, my husband got a three pigs omlette, and I had a crab and goat cheese omlette. It was delicious. The service wasn't exactly fine-dining service, but it was very warm and friendly. The dining room has a direct view of the ocean, and we watched dolphins play while we ate... More

It may not be as bad as NicoleN said, but I wouldn't go again. And I only live 40 miles away. I've had much better meals for less.

We ate here on Christmas Eve. In addition to the regular menu, they had their Monday night specials menu, which exceptionally low prices. In fact, given that the prices were very low compared to Tony's (not impressed) and The Island Hotel (did not go), our expectations were not high even though TA held it in high regards. We ordered the... More

We've been to the Island Room 3 times so far on our ten day vacation and all 3 times we've had great service and delicious meals! All of the wait staff Tim, Sugar, and Callie were very attentive. Love this restaurant and would definitely recommend it :)

First of all, to NicoleN below, you guys must have been intoxicated is all I can say. Go home to your city spoiled life. My husband and I first enjoyed The Island Room on the first night of our honeymoon. We plan to go back every year for our anniversary as we did this past November. the food is nothing... More

We were referred here by our hotel on a night that their dining room was closed. It was a pleasant evening with good friendly service and nice wine in spite of the outdated decor. I had the soup du jour which was an excellent asparagus presentation. My husband will attest to the fact that the local clam steamers were very... More
