we eat at Steamers about once a week, food is always good, servers are friendly, get your order quickly. Steps are are a pain on the knees, but, half of all the businesses are upstairs.

Nice atmosphere, beautiful view of the bay, good food, good service, within walking distance from the motel. Would go back.

Decided to take a day trip to Cedar Key. Once we finally arrived, we were charmed by the quaint little town. Once we got out of the car we decided to take a gamble and just pick a place for lunch without doing any research and we picked Steamers. We climbed the stairs to the top of the building and... More

We were looking for a "unique" place to visit for a few hours in the afternoon of our road trip to Florida and we sure found it here! We were driven by golf cart from the visitor center (by the head of the historical society and his dog) to Steamers, great gesture as I had a bad knee and questioned... More

A lazy slow town look and feeling brings the taste of the sea. Enjoyed fresh clams steamed in their broth cooked just right. Large bar setting along with plenty of seating. The service was attentive and courteous. Certainly a pleasant place during the off season with little crowding and waiting.

If you want average mostly fried food on the water and like tourist traps then Steamers is for you. There are much better options on Cedar Key.

Everything was wonderful from the atmosphere to appetizers thru dinner and followed by music. Service was a little slow and thats why I only gave 4 stars and not 5

Maybe better for a younger person than myself. Seemed basically like a bar with OK food. I had the flounder, my friend had scallops. I tasted the scallops which I found below par. My flounder was nicely cooked and breaded but nothing special. The waitress was very attentive. The music was good enough, just a little loud. I would choose... More

There was live music which was nice and not too loud. I had the shrimp scampi pasta, it was really really really good. Really good! My wife had a ribeye jut past rare and they pulled it off nicely. It was a very tasty cut. We did add a half pound of crab legs and they were not the greatest.... More

First night in town I wanted fresh/local oysters. Steamers delivered. It was dinner time and the restaurant wasn't busy but service was slow. She was friendly, just not in any hurry to greet us and check up on us. Oysters were great. The restaurant has the typical feel of a bar on the coast. Kinda sticky and in need of... More
