Nice view

My wife and I came early (4:45) as Dock St. has limited parking and, it being a June heat wave, it was hot to walk too far. We were able to park within 100 yds. The restaurant/bar is upstairs, which affords an excellent view of the Gulf. One may even sit outside on the balcony but it's not enclosed... read more

I enjoyed the clams diablo and the mussels diablo. They provided live music on Sunday - but watch out for the after church crowd - one family took up a 1/3 of the tables.

The food was just standard fried food, nothing special. I had a grouper sandwich and it was very dry. Service staff was courteous and efficient. Had to climb stairs to get to restaurant which would limit the clientele.

The food is good, can't say I would choose to go back, but the food was good. Very casual atmosphere, the venting system drips down on you if you are sitting near the windows so may want to sit elsewhere. Kind of wonder if it is dripping on the food. Main reason I would not go back - if I'm... More

Dinner at Steamers was a great start to a wonderful weekend catching up with an old friend. We both ordered the shrimp scampi. The dish was perfectly seasoned. The shrimp were large & tender, cooked to perfection. The pasta was al dente. It was served with 2 rolls & butter. Service was great. View was nice. There was live entertainment.... More

We had fried fresh clams and fish tacos here. For a side dish we had cole slaw. We enjoyed our meals and would happily return. The service was very friendly and fairly efficient. Our food was tastier than some other places we ate in Cedar Key. I would recommend this place to my friends (in fact I see from the... More

Amazing Mahi Mahi sandwich!! Definitely split it because of the huge portion. The french fries are some of the best we've had. We enjoyed it so much, repeated it the next day, substituting a house salad that was also very good. Ended up there for dinner, sharing a 12 oz ribeye steak that seemed bigger than that. Very tender and... More

Okay, we have to stop in here each visit...it's the bartenders great personalities, it's the food, it's the view, it's relaxed....you come in here and your perspective on life changes. Even the other customers hang out with you like long lost buddies. I swear it happens EVERY time we come in here. Loved the renovations this year, the clam shell... More

The seafood was really good. Don't get a baked potato they tasted old. I would get a different side. The view is nice if you can get a table by the window. The service was good.

Stopped by Cedar Key for a day visit and ended up eating at Steamers. I loved all the fresh seafood they served, from oysters and clams to their grouper and shrimp. It was all delicious. Friendly staff, good drinks and a nice view of the Gulf. Try to sit out on the deck for a great and relaxing view. Highly... More
