Made a fishing trip date and ate lunch

We, my lady and I, went to Cedar Key to plan our vacation around a day of fishing. Captain Robinson, Carl, gave us a day in the three we will be at Cedar Key. He always works with us and almost always gets us on fish. As we did our plan, we had lunch, and as always it was very... read more

Smoked Mullet Dip and club crackers. Fried Blue Crab Fingers with cocktail sauce. Grouper sandwich with slaw and clam chowder. Would NOT order the chowder again. Tony's canned chowder is much meatier and tasty. Needs lots of spices and had a weak broth. The crab fingers were tasty. Good service and seafood market attached.

The staff is absolutely the friendliest in town! We go there every chance we get. You can also grab fresh fish from them and take it home to cook it yourself! But the all you can eat fried shrimp dinner and the grouper sandwich can't be topped!

This restaurant has the finest seafood & desserts I have experienced in Cedar Key. Home made desserts & fresh seafood & chowder. Right on SR 24 before you get into Cedar Key. Plenty of parking. Extremely reasonable prices. Great service. Plentiful portions. You can book a charter or purchase your own fresh seafood to prepare at home. Family atmosphere.

Now, this was my first visit to the place, I've read good things and wanted to see for myself. We decided to stop in and pick up some seafood to take to our condo rental for the long weekend, maybe grab some lunch as well....but we walked in and it was a bit outdated and we didn't like the vibe.... Fried. Everything. Well there is smoked mullet. I took some of the dip home and it was just OK also. I like choices. Baked, steamed, grilled, blackened and...yes, fried. But here there seems to be only one choice. Well there might have been steamed shrimp . I won't go again. It's not worth the 20 miles each way to get... More

Stopped in Robinson's Seafood today for lunch. Got crab salad and crab fritters. Both were very good. Wanted a beer with lunch, but they don't serve beer. Server was very attentive.

Actually our favorite waitress (Betty) whom we've followed from over the years tipped us off about Robinson's Seafood. The seafood on the island in my opinion is overpriced and by no means any better than Robinson's Seafood. The food is not fancy no is the restaurant so if you want fancy you need to go to a more populated area.... More

Our family stops at this family owned and operated seafood restaurant every trip we make to Cedar Key! We've also had the pleasure of fishing with Robinson Guide Service and have loved it just as much! Our family of 6 can eat and clear plates at this wonderful restaurant! We love it!

As fresh as it can get, grilled or fried. I think the grouper is the best in town, while I am not a fan of mullet, they have the best. Eve makes delicious pies as well. Carl does charters and they sell fresh seafood too. Good, friendly, hometown dining.
