We bought bay shrimp at the store to cook at home. Followed owner's instructions and it was really tuff. Then we ate at the restaurant. Hush puppies were so greasy you couldn't eat them. Portions were small and tasteless and service was marginal.

Cozy friendly atmosphere. We stopped in for lunch, hubby selected the day special of a dozen raw oysters, and the seafood platter, which was brioled grouper, shrimp, oysters and fried crabcake, The oysters were sweet, ocean fresh, came on platter already shucked and (select size), he raved about them, I let him rave (I do not allow oysters to pass... Great fresh seafood in a small diner. All you can eat for $14. Shrimp, clams and mullet on the day I went. Attached is the seafood store with a great selection of freshly caught items. Worth going to.

Had shrimp and grouper chowder. Chowder was yummy. My shrimp were fried husband's were broiled. Both perfectly cooked. Batter on fried light and disappears in your mouth. Would rate higher, but no atmosphere. In an old concrete block building. Come for the food. Service and prices very good.

My lady and I went to Cedar Key, Florida again (great place) for three days. We had a charter for November 19th with Robinson's Charter service. We talked with Carl Robinson about the charter the day prior because of the weather change. He said... I'll take you out BUT you won't get a bite. The pressure change, the rain and... More

We decided to shop at the seafood market one Sunday, but the tiny little seafood market did not have that much to offer for us. We opened the door to the adjoining restaurant next door which was empty and got take-out - fried chicken and fried grouper - which was okay but probably would have tasted better inside the restaurant.... We come here every time we are in Cedar Key. It is where the locals go and everyone is friendly. They always have all you can eat dinners, soup, and hush puppies with the meals.

I like that we can eat in the restaurant and/or buy fresh fish products at the attached fish store. We did both today. Charter fishing trips can also be made. We are going out for Redfish and more in three weeks. I'll give you an update then.

We attended on the day of the Cedar Key Seafood Festival. I will admit their was a lot of people there. However, their is no need for the staff to be rude. Additionally, their was bugs in the window where we were sitting. My hamburger was burnt, the staff offered a new hamburger and brought me a piece of key... More
