A few lines to introduce myself. My name is Al Whelan, I am from Boston and worked at a famous "waterfront dive" known as Kelly's Landing. A seafood business in a Catholic community with lines down the street, literally. I worked there for five summers and enjoyed every minute of it. My first date with the counter girl (she couldn't resist a man in a paper hat), my first kiss, etc. One rule was demanded, cooking with clean oil! In those days it was lard! Today we use canola oil both on the grill side and on the fry side... Most of our dinners are on the grill side. Fish shrimp, scallops, steaks, ribs, chicken and pork round off our menu. Our Irish Connoli is like a little piece of heaven and our homemade bread pudding is to die for. Both topped off with sweet whipped cream. We've added a 6000 square foot patio surrounded by trees. A truly private and romantic spot. Also some added features such as, a basketball cage, beer pong table and corn hole court.

Fun and enchanting atmosphere with wonderful service and food.

Had read the reviews prior to visiting and was not disappointed. The appetizers, wine, coleslaw and entrees were all delicious. Finished with the best dessert ever!

No doubt about it, Al is a riot. He definitely enjoys his work. Been here a few times and Al shares billing with the imaginative and fresh-cooked seafood. Reasonably priced informal and always a fun meal.

They gave us free samples of scrod with a superb sauce over it along with some gator bites, both were extremely killer. We have a small group that eats out every week. We have visited the Moorings several times. Just had Shrimp Scampi on Angel Hair and a side of fries. Al the owner waited on us. We always get samples while we wait for dinner. Aligator tail and fried green tomatoes, and a lot of chuckles from Al's humor, One dollar... More

Stopped in tonight with my wife after reading the trip advisor reviews. Let me tell you we had a wonderful time. I had scampi over linguini with some fresh veggies which was quite tasty. The beer was cold, the wine was nice, and the conversation with owner Al was a delight. restaurant is off the beaten path a bit and... More

We have lived here for over twenty years and had never been to this restaurant. It was a very nice surprise. Our server Katelyne was extremely friendly...she even brought us some extra appetizers !!! The food was great and they had an old Queen concert playing on the TV..one of our favorite classic bands. There is a nice outdoor area...too... More
