The fish was very fresh, tender and delicious! The fish batter was light. The chips were as close to English chips as you can get in the States. In addition to malt vinegar, they aim to please and offer white vinegar too! My husband even took a chance and sampled the English beer. Better get there early because they are... More

In an unasssuming strip store a sliver of English flavors has burst out. Pete's Fish and Chips on Del Prado in Cape Coral looks like a slice out of the British chippy shops. Modest and limited tables but the friendliest staff on this side of the pond. I stopped in with my family who were not really inclined for fish.... More

Having lived in Kearny, New Jersey for over 40 years, a town known throughout the U.S. as the "Scottish Capital of the United States", a town were pubs and fish and chip shops are on every other corner, I can tell you that Pete's would have fit right in. The best Fish n Chips in Southwest Florida, hands down. Pete,... More

When Pete's opened, I was one of their biggest proponents, writing a review on this site espousing the outstanding nature of their product and service. However, I am now seeing this rating slipping onto a much lower level. Pete says he opened this store with the limited seating it has because most chippys in England are carry out based operations,... More

Better than I experienced in Edinburgh. Proper batter and delicious fish. Service was prompt and courteous. The other customers appeared to be regulars and I like to go into small restaurants that have attracted a loyal following. Guy Fawkes day is the anniversary of meeting my wife 40 years ago, so I am taking her to Pete's to celebrate.

My one and only visit was great. I ordered the small Fish N Chips. It was served in a paper container lined with paper to soak up the grease, but whoever heard of non-greasy fried fish. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't so greasy as to be unappetizing, in fact, it looked quite appetizing. There was one good size piece... More

It's so nice to see there is still a Fish and Chip store run by people from England that actually serve Halibut and real fries with the meal. A family restaurant, it is quaint but I will warn you they get busy and the tables fill quickly. Very friendly behind the counter and the food is A-1

We are snow birds and Pete's was the first place we went for supper! Great fish and chips, small friendly - serve yourself beer! Pete is from England and we have friends from there and they said this was as close to fish on England as they have had in US.

Ok here we go, this is a fresh review from having take out @ Petes last night. I am from New England so I am very happy with how they make F & C at home. On their website they state that most Brits get their F & C to go, which is what we did. When we got home... More
