Best Fish & Chips

Fresh Icelandic cod deep fried to a golden brown. Scrumptious fries served hot. Either The Beatles or The Rolling Stones playing in the background. This is the fish and chips place in the Cape.

Best Fish and chips in the Cape. Pete is so entertaining to talk to. The steak and potato pie is like Grammy's pot roast and potatoes in a flaky, buttery crust! Must try!!

Always a pleasure to eat at Pete's Fish and Chips. Small location in a strip mall you would probably not even notice (thank you TripAdvisor--probably would never have found without). Always a warm, friendly welcome by owners and staff as well. And then there is the fish. The best, flaky cod we have ever come across -- that includes fish... More

We've eaten here at least a dozen times so far. It's not a fancy place, but the food is great. Portions are large so make sure to order accordingly for smaller kids. The only hang up I have is that they don't open until 11:30.

This is one of those great hidden gems- locally owned, with great food. I've never dined on Fish and Chips outside of the US, so I can't vouch for authenticity, but it seemed spot on to me. The restaurant is small, but was packed on the week night we went. The door says they close at 7:30 (I think) but... More

Here is my 2 cents on the food. Well the taste and quality is still there. Chips are crispy on the outside and hot/steamy on the inside. The fish is as good as ever. Crispy too, flesh is delightful ffor the taste buds. So if in The Cape and need to scratch that itch for fish & chips. This is... More

I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to go to Europe through my school, and I got to visit the UK and eat real fish and chips (something I had always wanted to do). The experience was life-altering, and I was glad to be home but also sad that I left such a magical place when I had just... More

Had lunch at Pete,s not knowing what to expect, the reviews are a little confusing. Here's mine ! The fish I ordered was a "large" portion, (their description" , it consisted of a nice sized fillet of cod, perfectly battered and hot from the fryer. The " beer battered" cod was fried to a golden brown, not to greasy, and... More

Thanks to GPS for locating the best fish and chips, this side of the Atlantic. The service and friendliness of the staff was exceptional. The place was spotless and the menu was mouthwatering. From the British pictures on the wall to the malt vinegar and mushy peas, everything was great. The food was excellent and the portions ample. Loved the British... More

Pete's is a small, kind of self serve restaurant that prides itself on serving British style fish and chips along with English style pies and pasties. We ordered at the counter a small basket of fish and chips at lunchtime. The place also does a take out business. The order was called and we sat ourselves at a small table... More
