We heard about Ciao and decided to try it on a Friday night in season. As a local resident, you normally wait an hour or longer for a table. Only 30 minutes around 7:00 PM. Only open until 9:00 PM. We arrived a few minutes before 5 and stood in line in light rain hoping the reviews were not misleading. They were not. Atmosphere was cozy, owner was entertaining, and other customers were interesting. This is a small restaurant with excellent food. It reminds me of the good restaurants in the North End of Boston.

Durfee, Thank you so much for joining our family, but most of all for sharing the LOVE with us. And so great appreciate you making the comment about being a family Italian restaurant like the ones in the North End of Boston, a true complement. My husband and ate here two separate nights when we were in the area for business. Word is out about this restaurant and there is usually a wait. The night we visited was too cold for them to use the outdoor seating, so the lines were longer than usual. Seating inside is limited and the tables are close together. The... More

Carol, We are truly blessed to have shared the LOVE with you while you were here on business. Each and every customer(aka family member) who walks through our door is treated like family, like going to your Nonnas home, and that's where I come in. My name is Jill and I am the owner/chef, owning a restaurant is so much... More

Wow. What a find. I saw reviews for this place and they were spot on. Good food, service and friendly. We were looking for a good veal dinner and were not disapointed. The owner was around and checking quite often. The portions were very good - take home a plenty. Wanted dessert but was way too full. Our waiter Chris... More

This is by far one of my most favorite restaurants on the Cape! The atmosphere is awesome, quaint, small and intimate. The food is beyond amazing, my favorite are the Mussels. Jill, the owner/chef is a hoot, so personable and kind...not to mention talented. The staff is excellent. The ONLY drawback is that they only serve beer/wine, but they make... More

Pizza to die for while we waited to be seated... wine, veal osso bucco with risotto, bread with seasoned olive oil, more wine, lasagna, more wine, roasted duck with berry/wine sauce - cranberries, blueberries, strawberries, more wine, Bananas Foster with expresso coffee and sambuca....and biscotti. Jill personally comes out from the kitchen to be certain the food and service are... More

One rarely says that a restaurant is underpriced, but this is the time. We've eaten all over the world, and this compared well to any meal we've had. And the staff outshone so, so many - knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating, and professional. And the place is unique - the owner came to talk to the diners. The duck, the risotto, the... More

After a wait of 1.5 hours (timing is everything!), we were seated and had a fantastic dinner. As an FYI, there was a self sign-up sheet at the door for seating. We happen to arrive as others were being seated in the small restaurant (arrived at 6:30). Given the wait, it was worth it. The portions are big and wonderful.... More

Decided to try Caios because it was highly rated on Trip advisor. Went early thinking we would have to wait for a table but surprisingly, no wait and plenty of open tables.
