I was in the Cape Coral area with my family on vacation. We literally have no Cuban restaurants in our hometown area, so we thought we'd venture out of our comfort zone and try something new. I always try and research new places and find out a bit of basic info before we go. This place somehow had a few... More

I moved here from Miami a few years ago anxious to find a good cuban restaurant. I went to mambos and the first couple of times it was ok. Then I went with my elderly father that takes his time eating, he's 86 years old. Half way through the meal the waitress comes over and asks us if we're finishing... More

Ive never been disappointed with El Mambo! Eat in or take out, breakfast, lunch or dinner its real, its well made and it is affordable. Love the Ropa Vieja, the picadillo and the cuban sandwiches are every bit as good as any you can get in Miami.

Although I'm not a fan of their inexpensive bacon and egg breakfast because I'm an Oscar Mayer snob, I love, love, love their pastries in the bakery just down the street on 47th from their main restaurant. They serve everything the larger restaurant does, but it's really the bakery that is AWESOME. They have the flakiest pastries in southwest Florida... More

Quick "in and out" visit for breakfast. Try the ham & cheese croissant (available with our without egg) for just $2.50. This local spot is know for generous portions and Cuban / American food. Parking can get a litle tight...just go around teh corner and there is usually ample street parking and /or additional spaces. Bring your appetite!

We love El Mambo for breakfast! They have a $3.50 special with 3 eggs, bacon/sausage, toast, and coffee/orange juice. It's amazing and delicious and filling. There are no frills in the place, but the food is always delicious and the service is quick. Love it.

I had one of my favorite food, and enjoyed it very much. The shrimps enchilado is the best. They have milkshakes, one of the best in the world! You gotta try Mamey Milkshake. I definitely go back there.

While parking on the busy corner is tricky at best the no nonsense deli style restaurant gave off the similar "vibe" many cuban restaurants in the area possess. Mismatched tables, chairs and very severe decor front the many display cases of drinks, pastries and cuban breads. The smell is aromatic and the service to a "gringo" was pleasant and helpful.... Have only visited for breakfast, but must say that for $3.50 you get one of the best breakfasts I have ever had

We stopped in this unpretentious diner for breakfast. I must say the coffee was very good. Coffee con leche. We each had a ham and cheese croissant sandwich. It was good food. The price is low. Service was ok to a little less than ok. My dining companion noticed that customers that walked in after us were waited on before... More
