We love this cafe. Located in a historic home with awesome sandwiches and soups and salads. We have never had a bad meal. Seems the ownership could smile a little more but the food makes up for it

You have to travel a bit out of your way to find this place, but so worth the effort! Food is wonderful, but their Shrimp and Grits are extra special. Desserts are also special so save room. Wish they had more seating as it gets quite cramped when full and somewhat noisy, but that small flaw won't keep me away.

Mally Kyla's is charming and the food is wonderful. Soups, salads, quiches, sandwiches are all first-rate. Dessert is to die for - one of anything with four forks is plenty. Atmosphere pleasant, staff is efficient and it is fun to browse and shop in the two other stores in the Hawkins House which is where Mally Kyla's is located. This... More

Cannot recommend highly enough. If you're in Hernando County it is a must visit. As other visitors have posted here, the hummingbird cake is utterly fantastic. The tea is excellent, almost worth the trip by itself.

Who knew such a treasure as this existed in the little town of Brooksville? Make reservations as the locals are sure aware of this find! Everything is tasty, the service pleasant, prices nice and the old house that it is situated in, charming. I enjoyed the avocado stuffed with chicken salad, but the best part of this luncheon treat was... More

Out of the way location but worth the find as the food was very good. We each had half a sandwich and a cup of soup and both were very tasty. Good thing that we arrived early because the closer it gets to lunchtime, the more that people show up. This is a converted house with small rooms that are... More

We arrived before noon luckily, since by the time we left the line was almost out the door. The food was very good and was reasonably priced. I had a half of sandwich and cup of soup and my wife had a salad. Both were very good. Lunch for two with tax and tip for under $25.00. We could see... More

An unexpected stop turned into a definite future stop. As we were traveling back from Crystal Springs to Fort Myers, we fortunately bumped into this wonderful, southern cooking restaurant. I thoroughly enjoyed the chicken salad stuffed avocado and my boyfriend had the Turkey, Avocado sandwich with chicken tortilla soup. And you can't stop there; we shared the infamous oatmeal cake...
