Ice Cream Shop - Worth a Trip

When in the Anna Maria Island area, our visit is not complete until stopping at Joe's for a home-made ice cream treat. Joe's is an ice cream store, not a restaurant, at the northbound trolley stop near Bridge Street.

Stopped here for ice cream after watching the sunset on the beach. We were impressed with the wide selection of homemade flavors. When we arrived the line was quite long and moved very slowly. There were 4+ workers that we could see but only one girl waiting on the families in line, and she appeared new. She had to seek... More

Stopped on way back to our place on the upper part of Anna Maria Island. Bright paint colors make it easy to find. Very busy and wait times can be long. Ice cream offers many flavors and special types including dairy free, gluten free, and sugar free. Overall ice cream was very good and it offers unique sundaes and sodas... More

If you are near Anna Maria Island, want a special treat, and need a break from the bumper-to-bumper traffic, you need to stop at Joe's. What caught are attention right away is the number of different sundaes. For example, on our second trip (yes, second), I had the Snowball, a white cup of sweetness. The ice cream is homemade; thus,... More

This is a local favorite with great ice cream that's made there. Especially good sugar free and gluten free. Very crowded at night and in season. Very strict about parking; only park there if you're eating there. You will be towed.

Convenient if you are at Bradenton Beach and worth a stop. Staff is young and obviously focused on other things (as opposed to the customer). They were polite but not overly attentive. The ice cream was good and will be happy to go back when in the area (though wouldn't travel far for it).

We weren't sure if the place was open when we arrived as there was construction tape and will tow signs (turns out they are not for customers) but another customer arrived and assured us it was open so we followed him up the steps, and he was right. I don't know if they have another entrance but I don't think... More

joes eats and sweets is the greatest ice cream I have eaten in my entire life! They have so many flavors all made on site daily! I really enjoy their gluten free waffle cone and chocolate dipped key lime pie. The staff is wonderful and can really cater to anyone.

The best homemade ice cream ever. The sundae is heaven. I will be back to visit every time I'm on the island.

All I can comment on is the delicious fudge (and the super-cute building). The building catches your eye with it's colorfulness. You go upstairs and I was going to get icecream, but then saw their fudge. I got a small piece of different ones and each one was more delicious than the next. Very charming place.
