Charming place but horrible food

The Place is wonderful, filled up with positive good situated american vibes:) but the food is awful and expensive. I deeply enjoyed the atmosphere there. Nice people hanging out in Docs. I think this place is a good place for a beer, meeting nice people and watching the wonderful sunset:) The... read more

This is a great place with great people. Nothing gets better than being right on the beach. Very popular year-round. But, during season valet parking fills quickly. Plan on searching public parking for a rare parking spot. No credit cards - they do have an ATM machine. Lots of big toys on the beach and Gulf. Entire experience earns Doc's... More

There were four of us in our party and we all ordered different things. Chicken wings were ok but not great. Someone had grouper fish tacos and they really didn't have much flavor. The burgers were good they said. We ate here another time on our trip to Bonita Springs and ordered a pizza to go. We had some sodas... More

We were here for lunch on a weekday. The place was pretty full, and seemed that way almost every time we walked by. I ordered fried shrimp and chips, and my wife had the fish tacos. My shrimp were plentiful, and quite tasty. My wife was disappointed in her fish tacos, as they were pretty bland. Service was quick, and... More

The service at Doc's was very good. There is valet service which is helpful because parking is tight since Doc's is right on the beach. The day I was there was cold and windy. About 55 degrees with 40+ mile an hour winds. I had their Conch chowder which was very tasty, but low on Conch, I also had a... More

If you have a Collier County beach parking pass you can park at the north Barefoot Beach lot and walk to Doc's. Had eggs, corned beef hash, toast and hash browns: all good.

This is a nice place for a casual get together. We were looking for a casual place for dinner and this was just the place. We arrived around 5:30 and was seated about 6:30. It was a party of 10 so that wasn't too bad. It had great views of the ocean so if you are during the day the... More

Visited with resident friends to show us the sunset, apparently THE spot to see it. Menu is fried beach food. Food was nothing special, fried shrimp more crunchy batter than shrimp. Grouper fingers were much better. All cash operation. Same food at 50 other places, just different names.

Perhaps the only restaurant for miles that is really beachfront. Quirky, very casual and always crowded. Old Florida atmosphere appeals. Expansive menu with emphasis on top quality thin crust Chicago style pizza. Reservations recommended weekends in season. Parking challenged. Be sure to bring cash because only money is accepted. Don't even take a checkbook.
