For someone who's not a big breakfast fan, this place worked out well. They had a quesadilla on the menu, which was good. It had egg in it. The place was somewhat busy. The waiter was attentive. My friend enjoyed her breakfast and appreciated the choice in eggs Benedict options. The menu wasn't too fancy, but it had some nice,... More

We really enjoyed our experience at Mel's. It was our first time there and we weren't sure what to expect other than it was a retro type atmosphere. Needless to say, we were pleasantly surprised. I had the meatloaf dinner special and my wife had the cantina chicken dinner and the food was great. Those dinners included a brownie delight... More

from the street it looks like an old american diner. inside similar but it's not old, just meant to look old. we weren't expecting much, just a quick bite to eat for a reasonable cost. biscuits were served instead of bread; warm and tasty. free refills of soda drinks. Diners that serve everything under the sun rarely serve anything notable.... More

Service was very prompt and friendly. Highly recommend the Big 9 breakfast! It tends to be very chilly in the restaurant the 2 times we have gone, take a sweater if you are dressed for the beach!

We stayed at the LaQuinta behind Mel's. It was a quick walk over. We dined in and also had take out during our visit. The fried pickle chips were good. Each day they have a blue plate special. My son had the baby back ribs for 10.99 with fries and salad with a tasty milk shake. The BBQ chicken sandwich... More

My son ordered "Cake and Eggs" and the waitress suggested he get the special that we did not see which was 3 pancaked, 3 eggs, and 3 bacon for $4.99. More food for less money. We had dinner also and everything was very good.....the only issue is the size of the menu can make choosing difficult.

Great breakfast food that's always consistently good at the location close to Bonita Beach Rd. Their pancakes & French toast are delicious. The 1950's ambience is cute. It's very clean. When in town from NYS we always stop in a few times.

I come down to visit my folks 2-3 times a year and my favorite place to eat is always Mel's Diner on 41 south in Bonita Springs. The food is always well prepared, the portions are large enough for my 6 meal a day appetite and it is by far one of the best consistent values in the area. I... More
