Food and service was very good. We would return next year ! Nice "diner decor" and 50s-60s music. Lots of menu choices.

Is a great fall back place. Decked out in 50s bright. Food is diner food, so don't expect gourmet, but they do a better than average job with fish, and portions are quite generous. A good place for breakfast or any meal. The staff is pleasant and the kitchen quite accommodating if you need to ask for something special. Have... More

This 50s style restaurant is always busy. We visited twice while on vacation. The first time I had two lobster tails for $14.99, and my husband had the ribs...both delicious. They have tasty cheese biscuits and crisp salads. Then we had Mediterranean group and turkey dinner the second visit. We always make sure to visit Mel's when in the area.

My wife and I walked from the nearby LaQuinta and had a fun experience at Mel's Diner. The staff was fun and friendly, the menu choices were numerous, the serving portions were large, and the food delicious. My wife especially enjoyed her salmon BLT. Mel's Diner is a fun place with great music. The parking lot is crowed all day... More

Large menu with many options. Servings are large, so you definitely get your money's worth. Service was fast and the place was full. I would think that many of the meals could easily be split.

We stayed at La Quinta Inn and Suits located behind Mel's Dinner. We had a delicious dinner early in the week, fresh grilled salmon and grilled shrimp. Cheap drinks, $3 margaritas yum! We returned for breakfast, great omelets a breakfast potatoes. LOVED the key lime pie, crust was chewy and delightful, couldn't resist bringing a slice back to the room.... More

Since the last trip to Mel's wasn't so good, we decided to try it again. This time for breakfast! The food was really good. Service was fast. We really enjoyed our server, Teresa. She was very helpful. My husband said his breakfast potatoes were probably the best he had in a long time. We will return in 2015 for sure.
