A bit of Old Florida

We were able to eat lunch on the deck overlooking the water which was delightful. The menu is typical sandwich and seafood, but it is quite fresh. One has to eat with plastic tableware, but that is part of the charm. Limited beer and wine selection.

Came last year and wasn't impressed but this year I got the oysters and they were incredible. Worth the short wait to get in.

This place is not cheap and crowded around lunch time, but the food is authentic and wonderful. Our group of four chowed down on fish that tasted very fresh, and the helpings were large and hot. You might want to try after one for lunch to get seating sooner. The signs describing the shift to a new ownership some time... More

Genuinely cannot understand some of the negative comments, the service, food, price and location are all excellent and this place is definitely worth the visit. As annual UK visitors we have never been disappointed and whilst it may not resemble a five star hotel it is a five star gem - can't wait until the next opportunity to visit😀

Just finished ordering the grouper basket which we had eaten many times. It was very old and we could not stand the smell or taste. One bite was more than enough. I know fish. We were told it couldn't be old and I suggested smelling it or tasting. Manager did not come out but did mark our dinner down (not... More

My husband had the stuffed flounder which he really liked. He had it last year and was happy to still see it in the menu. I had catfish that was fried and so light.. Really good. With the potatoes and salad I didn't have room for their Chiffon Key Lime Pie. We will get that another day.

Read the reviews before I went to this restaurant this past weekend and wasn't sure what to expect.....Well, don't let the building deceive you into thinking you'll receive low quality food and service. I ordered a salad with steamed shrimp and the lettuce was fresh and the shrimp was excellent. We also ordered fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. AWESOME!!... More

Home cooked food, great fresh fish, wonderful view of the ocean, large portions, reasonable prices, old home atmosphere, cheerful wait staff. What's not to like? Best grouper sandwich by far since arriving in the Fort Myers area.

building falling apart, could barely get server to look in our direction. Oysters shucked upside down so were very dry and WARM!? Mussels were tasty and a nice portion. That is the only reason for the 2 stars. Oh ya, prices were high for the food, service and atmosphere. Dont bother stopping.

We stoped for lunch at this very busy restaurant with awsome view of the Gulf. It is very casual inn, nothing fancy, nothing extravagant or pretentious. We ordered grouper. The batter was light and fluffy, the fish was fresh, flaky and very good. 1/4 pound of big steamed shrimp was enough for me and we shared a Ceasar salad with... More
