Worth the Palm Tree Drive

We had no idea where we were headed except that we were told to just keep driving and we ended up experiencing a great hide away. Capt'n Con's Seafood Soup and Pies are to die for. We meet people there from Ohio that came every year to experience the Seafood Soup and pies. The Lunch combos were... read more

That hasnt tasted the heaven on a plate that is the pie in this dive of a place. The peanut butter didnt disappoint to what I remembered from 3 years ago. We also had the banana cream pie. Just wow! It is even worth the drive from Port Charlotte just for 1 slice.

The last time we went to this restaurant I got the all you can eat fish special. It was delicious. The fish is brought in from somewhere else, not local, but it's white and flaky and the coating on the outside was a golden color and very crunchy. I would have gotten that this time, except the waitress told me... More

What a great location. Wonderful view of the ocean! The staff is very friendly and large quantities of food. I had the steamed shrimp and it was excellent. Prices were reasonable. The only thing most things were deep fried, but you could asked to have something's grilled.

and i cant get enough of the view - right across from the restaurant , of the top of the island, and looking across to Ft. Meyers from the big boat dock. they have about 10 or more pies to choose from , and so many different types of fish. Their salads are good, too.

The pie at Capt'n Con's is absolutely wonderful. They have many varieties, including mango. They even had some homemade mango bread available as they are in season. Crusts are homemade. Several types of chocolate, peanut butter, coconut cream.

While exploring Pine Island we drove north to Bokeelia and stumbled upon Capt'n Con's. We loved it! Honest, natural and real; not a chain or restaurant trying to be "local," but the real thing. Friendly and helpful staff, very fresh fish, everything we ate was delicious, and in a generous serving. The Key Lime pie was the best we've ever... More

Whenever we visit Bokeelia, we always make time for Capt'n Con's. This is one of those places where to locals go to eat and never fails to complete a Pine Island experience. The staff is friendly and loves to talk about the history of Bokeelia, but you can also learn just by listening to the conversations of the patrons around... More
