My wife and 2 friends went by boat. I'm guessing it would be almost as much fun going by car. Old time Florida, and have to try the fish chowder. You will definitely need to take a day off from your diet though.

We ate there twice in our short weekend visit. All the way at the tip north end of the island. Seafood chowder is great, breakfast is great too. Right at the water and pier. Views can't be beat. Local atmosphere and even outside seating. Will DEFINITELY BE BACK !!

Captain Con's has been a family favorite for nearly three decades, but our last visit was disappointing. To reach the main dining area, customers now have to pass through the new bar area where Mom and I had to dodge the attentions of two flirtatious men seated at the bar. One of them (obviously tipsy) approached our table later to... More

Clearly the best pie in S.W. Florida. Go there often. Sometimes the service is prompt and friendly. More often this winter it has been slow and less than friendly. Clearly depends upon who serves your table and the mood they are in. Hope this staff training issue is dealt with by the time the next winter season rolls around. Tom... More

We took a little road trip to Pine island from Ft. Myers beach today and came upon Cap'n Con's restaurant at the very end of the island. We ventured in and were greeted by a very friendly waitress who explained the menu thoroughly. She highly recommended the fish chowder, which we sampled. It was absolutely delicious. We had a fish... We love Capt'n Con's. Fresh food with a great view. When they have conch on the menu, don't miss it!

We are a family of locals that wanted a dinner from our Gulf waters. We decided to drive all the way out to Captain Cons and see what little delights they had to offer. The tacky holiday decorations were semi indicative of what was inside. A waitress sat at the exterior entry as we walked in. Interesting place to let... More

The view is fabulous, we loved the seafood stew and key west key lime pie. If you are lucky you will see dolphins off the fishing pier across the street.

We were here 2-19-14 and 3-11-14. Each time we preceded our visit with some fishing on the Bokeelia fishing pier (fee). After all the hard work of fishing and being in that hot sun we would stop in at Capt'n Cons for a cool beverage (beer) and hit the head too. Very friendly staff and other bar patrons.
