Today we tried out this quaint little Southern Barbecue joint. It had a cute atmosphere, good menu, great service and price. I enjoyed my fall off the bone ribs but the rest was just so so. We frequent barbecue in every town and state we travel to. This cooking process (probably indoors) was not the authentic smoked barbecue taste,if that is... More

Five of us dined at Mississippi Sweets last night. We were seated about 10 minutes after our arrival. Parking was extremely difficult because their parking lot is shared by other restaurants and a pub and due to the World cup Games, the pub was packed, even had a tent outside in the parking lot for overflow patrons. About our meals.... More

This is decent BBQ, but it is by no means the "real-deal" smoked BBQ, but rather oven-cooked, fall off the bone BBQ. I little pricey, but the meat was okay and the sides were good. Very much a hole in the wall place, but the staff was friendly, and the food seemed freshly cooked an wholesome.

Great ribs, but you have to order the sweet potato fries (Mississippi fries), very small place but we'll worth the wait. Will be a regular stop of mine whenever in the Boca area

First the not-really-negatives. Not elegant, kinda noisy, four top tables are tight. But it's a barbecue joint, so that's what we expect! Food verdicts at our table -- chicken is excellent, ribs are quite good but not excellent (meat quality might not be the best), pulled pork good but no great, barbecues beef excellent. Service was friendly and efficient. Prices... More

Terrific baby back ribs and try their sweets (crispy sweet potato chips) as a side. They have wings, chicken along great sides, beans, fries, etc.. Very small place and no reservations taken, but you can ad your name to the short wait list and have a drink at the English pub and the host will come find you. Likely the... More

Mississippi Sweets is a smallish family owned restaurant that features Bar-Bee-que. They do not ever have coupons, yet there is always a line waiting for dinner. The atmosphere is eclectic and the service is friendly. The menu is short (chicken, ribs, BBQed meats, some fish). Most expensive dish is about $18.00 with sandwiches at $9.00 Food is served paper lined... More

Ordered out from here because I was craving Ribs. They were pretty good. Could have used a side of extra sauce though. The sides of coleslaw, apple sauce and cornbread were good as well. The waffle fries weren't as crispy as I like but were okay. I would order again from here.

We visited Mississippi Sweets and found a long wait on a Sunday night. We returned on a Monday , and we were glad that we did!! Everyone in our group bought the ribs. They were delicious!!! The baked beans were also a treat. If you have a little room for dessert, try the Key Lime Pie. You won't be disappointed... More
