Sorry it is gone, replacement is in place.

While the Cracked Egg is gone, there is a new operator in this location. As the FL Keys Café we have had mixed results. They have cleaned up the interior. Our first visit got a very good review, on the second visit the staff was clueless and totally ignored us.

Poached eggs and beautiful sliced tomatoes were perfect. Server was friendly and helpful. The rest of our party also enjoyed their meal.

Now open under new ownership and a different name. While food was ok it was undependable and not real clean. New owners have done a great job of cleaning it up, have consistent hours and have improved the menue and preperation.

We were on the way to Key West and were in need of breakfast. Pulled up to the cracked egg and knew we were walking into a small town joint. Breakfast was reasonably priced and and arrived quickly. We will plan our drive to Key West so were are in Big Pine for breakfast again this summer! Must see.

When we are on vacation one of the first things we try to do is find a nice local place for breakfast. When we were in Islamorada we always went to Mangrove Mikes. Since we are staying in the lower keys Mikes was too far to go early in the morning. We had been to The Cracked Egg before and,... More

The name of this restaurant has changed to "Florida Keys Cafe" It is under new management but everything was wonderful. This was our first time here but we were impressed with how clean everything was.

My kids, who are now grown up still love coming here. Service is good and prices are reasonable. Make sure you sit by the uneven table by the tree
