Very nice elegant venue with dinner only till 9PM but good service. Advice on wine choices and nice atmosphere. If in DuPont hotel or nearby that is the place to dine.

The service was absolutely amazing. A very nice selection of different foods to chose from on the menu. The food looks and tastes so great. The Green Room is now on my top favorite of places to eat at.

We were so looking forward to a wonderful Sunday Brunch on June 22nd with a dear friend. We had such good memories of the beautiful room, gracious service and very good food. Sadly this has gone down the tubes - the room is still wonderful .... all else has been lost. This is now strictly self serve buffet style with... More

You would expect great service in regal setting like this. May be the worst service I've seen in years. Understaffed, illiterate staff, and poorly trained. The room was nearly empty at lunch, but still had to search for waiter numerous times. He couldn't answer the most basic questions about the menu, said he would "Axe" someone. The food was actually... More

We recently stayed at the Hotel DuPont for one night. We gad afternoon tea and breakfast in the Green Room. Afternoon tea first: reservations are required. We arrived on time and found there were only 4 other tables with guests. But we were seated right by the kitchen door. I asked if we could have a different table and was... More

A beautiful room, Hotel DuPont and all that. Waiters in black tie, getting orders wrong, bumping into each other (seriously), filling drinks half way and needing to return with the remainder, taking away the wine glasses at the end of dessert (why?). Service wise, the whole thing was just a laugh. The food was old, heavy and borderline horrid. Scallops... More

Last Sunday we went to Brunch at the Green Room in the Hotel Dupont in Wilmington. Beautiful dining room with great gilded chandeliers and an incredible ceiling, similar to those exclusive private clubs in New York. Pianist on a corner balcony. Excellent waitstaff who addressed us by name even though it was our first visit. Changed cutlery every time we... More

The Green Room is beautifully constructed with ornate ceiling and furnishings and live piano music. Dress code is Business casual, but many men wore coat and tie. You can select from a 3 Course, 4 Course or A La Carte Menu. My boyfriend and I had Fennel Soup, Rib Eye Filet and Chocolate Ice Cream for him and Raspberry Sorbet... More

Visiting with Downton Abbey package. Had dinner reservations for both nights. I had to keep reminding myself that we were paying for atmosphere. I also kept comparing to the LeMaire in Richmond, which must be pricier real estate, but far superior in value. (Ex: Prix fixe, $60/3 courses and many of selections had add'l surcharge!) of course wine marked up,... More
