Very nice meal

Great ambiance. The venison was excellent except that I forgot to ask them to hold the salt (it was very salty). Good wines by the glass and the service was excellent.

Excellent meal. Started with the lobster bisque with nice pieces of lobster. Then had the fillet mignon, pictured below. Finished with the complementary macaroon cookies. Service was excellent, as was the wine list. Highly recommended for a nice but expensive dinner.

After the concert at the hotel, we ate dinner in the Green Room. We had a fantastic 4 course meal and our server was fabulous also!

With old World elegance in once stately downtown Wilmington, the sumptuous Green Room is a special place for a celebration & for a change it's nice to see patrons dressed for an occasion. Along with a buffet, the lunch menu is satisfying & the dessert table of petit fours & custards irresistible.

The dining room is from another era. The furnishings are beautiful. Elegant is the best word that I can think of. The service is friendly. The food is oriented toward the French but the sauces are lighter than traditional sauces. The night we visited there was a 3 course Prix fixe with a number of options for the various courses.... A great favorite over the years. Good food and quiet polite service. It is also child friendly, and the elegant, but unstifiling, atmosphere practically enforces good manners Many families come for holiday dinners at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Lunchtimes are great for the impressive power lunch to entertain visitors. A Wilmington tradition since the Hotel duPont was built nearly 100 years... More

I walked in because it was in the hotel and cold outside... incredible woodwork and setting. The guests next to us recommended the crab cake and salmon which were both excellent. The vegetarian platter satisfied my dining partner. A recommendation for a nice reasonably priced wine, elegant and subtle service. It is worth experiencing the location as much as the... More

Only okay and not as good as you would expect from a highly reviewed hotel. The service was very good.

This was our first visit to the Green Room and I am only sorry that we waited so long to try it. There were seven of us, each with different tastes in food and everyone left with nothing but praise for the selection. There were mimosas, bloody marys, and champagne to start with along with a large selection of teas.... More
