Joes Crab Shack - Wilmington, DE

Excellent steam pots with crab, lobster, clams , mussels. Lobster bisque is very good. Other entrees like fried shrimp or fish are good. Restaurant can be very noisy and often there is a wait for a table on weekends. Fun place for large groups and families to get to get together.

This heavily-decorated (think tricycles and everything else hanging from the ceiling) place is loud and friendly. It's perfect for eating before and after going to the Delaware Children's Museum. The food is not trendy, but reliable. The kids will not embarrass you, as it's that kind of place. There is a small playground if you need to let them run... More

This is a great place to take your family although it can get a little noisy. The servers dance on the hour. The ceiling is loaded with fishing and nautical items. I take my dad here for shrimp and beer. We love it.

Crab cakes were good. Very casual, family oriented place. Awesome staff, very attentive. Touristy decor, wooden slat booths. Probably better atmosphere in summer when garage door walls are open onto the Deleware River.

Way overpriced, for bottom barrel seafood. Two doors down, is a much better seafood joint. My boy likes it, but at 9, he could eat 3 kids steam pots. Have to get him a $30 dollar adult one and is still hungry. Only tastes good because its coated in butter.

We only go to this restaurant when there is a fundraiser night, but we rarely miss those when we know about them. There is nothing extraordinary about the food. It is about the quality of what I could cook at home.

This was a New Years celebration. Waitress was friendly and very attentive to us. No wait as we arrived early. Outstanding seafood selections and all fresh! We sat indoors as it was chilly outside but the outdoor seating is on the canal with a great view. Would recommend this location to everyone.

My husband took me for a surprise birthday celebration and I must admit that at first I wasn't too happy for the long wait and the salty crab we got which wasn't even much crab for the price. When I complaint to the waiter immediately the manager came and it didn't take much time for them to give me an... More

We had a good nite out with friends at Joe's. Waitstaff was pleasant and very attentive, keeping our drinks full along with our bellies. We had the lobster fritters to start then on to southern stuffed shrimp and coconut shrimp. All were very good. Manager was present and checked on our table. There were plenty of servers and they all... More

We decided to give Joe's another chance after a disappointing meal about 9 months ago. What a mistake. There was no wait, which should have been a clue that business wasn't so good. We waited 20 minutes for a waiter to come to our table. And 10 more minutes for him to bring our drinks, which weren't what we ordered,... More
