Just a small little place in an up and coming part of town, but definitely a great selection for dinner. Reminded me of our time spent in Rome a few years ago. Arrived early on a rainy Friday evening, only a few tables taken. By the time we finished our meal, folks waiting in line. Our dinners were excellent, well... More

Whenever we are in Wilmington, we always make a stop at Cafe Verdi. Their chopped antipasto is one of my favorites. We had a group of three people last Friday and split the antipasto along with a Sicilian pizza. Their fresh bread dipped in a plate of olive oil & spices is a nice touch. The place is small, but... I'm from South Jersey, we eat a lot of Italian food. This place amazed me! Risotto was amazing, chicken pesto on spaghetti made me say "wow" out loud. Will definitely return, a bit of a surprising spot (looks like a big pizza joint) but the food is seriously good and prices are great.

The pizza for lunch is some of the best in town, and the dinner menu is surprisingly good. In a town with lots of Italian food (some of it within walking distance of Verdi), this is a high quality option.

We ate here a year ago while visiting Wilmington and enjoyed it so we decided to try it again this year. It was every bit as good the second time around. Service was friendly and prompt and the food was excellent. The food here compares favorably to the best Italian restaurants you can find yet it's just an unpretentious local... More

I will preface by saying I really do like this restaurant, but something has happened recent where the service has taken a bit of a nose dive. It seems very haphazard, servers just randomly asking other tables if they've been helped and when told no they'll say. "Well I'm here I guess I'll help you". Waiting 10 minutes between being... Selected courtesy of Trip Advisor. comments were valid. wonderful fresh flounder cooked to perfection with risotto and red sauce. wonderful salad we shared also. spinach totelini soup great. skipped dessert, but surely that is good too. in a small strip mall, the outside doesn't overly impress, but the cooking inside is great. easy to get to from the main highways... Cafe Verdi is a first class dining experience at neighborhood prices. One of the original occupants of Trolley Square, this place is well-managed, warm, and friendly and they serve terrific food. Their pizza is is always excellent in all it's forms, but the real bargain is their dinner entrees. We've been eating there for twenty years and we have never... More

Color me spoiled. I loved the chopped antipasto. Maybe it's because the food is bite-sized and takes so little effort, but I really think it's the taste. Wowzers! I don't even use the dressing-well, not on the salads, but look out breadsticks! The restaurant is small; seats maybe 20, but the team running the place make great food-pizza, salads, other... More

Who would guess that you can find wild caught shrimp in this local Italian neighborhood cafe? It is "Carolina Shrimp" on the menu and was tasty and well prepared. I am spoiled from eating shrimp in the South and have to pass on the imported farm raised shrimp dishes I find everywhere else up here. The other italian dishes are... More
