The restaurant has an impressive menu, and the dishes at our table were all prepared very well. The service was very friendly, but not overbearing. Two of our party had seafood dishes, liked them very much. One veal dish was excellent, with tender veal and a nice sauce. I don't know where they get their desserts, but we shared a... More

A quaint, homey place with a family feel. Lots of locals were stopping by on Christmas Eve Eve, making it clear that it's a local favorite. Great Italian food and friendly service.

Veal saltimboca was tender, spinach and cheese not overpowering and white wine sauce just right. The verdi salad with its mix of nuts and berries was a nice addition. I will be back next time i am in the area.

My homemade spinach ravioli was very good but the bread was not what I would expect at a good Italian restaurant and I wasn't a fan of the spices they put in the dipping oil. It is very small and the tables are almost on top of one another - I didn't feel comfortable carrying on a conversation because we... More

The food was very good. The wait staff was excellent. The prices were reasonable. Atmosphere was very nice. This is the kind of place where you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in. Pizza is really good.

Our first visit to Cafe Verdi was a lovely experience. Our son (7) is gluten free - and they carry gluten free pasta and can make gluten free pizza. They made us feel immediately welcome and like part of the family. They asked several times about our son and if all was ok. The pizza was very tasty and I... More

Just a small little place in an up and coming part of town, but definitely a great selection for dinner. Reminded me of our time spent in Rome a few years ago. Arrived early on a rainy Friday evening, only a few tables taken. By the time we finished our meal, folks waiting in line. Our dinners were excellent, well... More

Whenever we are in Wilmington, we always make a stop at Cafe Verdi. Their chopped antipasto is one of my favorites. We had a group of three people last Friday and split the antipasto along with a Sicilian pizza. Their fresh bread dipped in a plate of olive oil & spices is a nice touch. The place is small, but... I'm from South Jersey, we eat a lot of Italian food. This place amazed me! Risotto was amazing, chicken pesto on spaghetti made me say "wow" out loud. Will definitely return, a bit of a surprising spot (looks like a big pizza joint) but the food is seriously good and prices are great.

The pizza for lunch is some of the best in town, and the dinner menu is surprisingly good. In a town with lots of Italian food (some of it within walking distance of Verdi), this is a high quality option.
