Review would have been excellent but for the bones in the flounder!

A recent dinner here where everything seemed perfect, service, food and atmosphere. I ordered the flounder stuffed with crab imperial served in a lobster cream sauce which was very good - and not one bone. I was unable to finish both pieces of flounder, so I took one home for the next day. It... read more

We were pleasantly surprised when looking for a quick lunch near the Hotel DuPont... we had a nice table outside and a great lunch - I had a burger (not bad for an Italian restaurant) and my wife had a small pizza - excellent service

6 of us travelers with very little notice got a nice table at this place. We read the reviews and were a little apprehensive but it was close to our hotel and we were tired. We were thrilled with the menu, the service, the cleanliness, the food and the prices. Great cocktails, salads, entrees were large and delicious, wine was... More

I ordered the Canoli at this restaurant and it was absolutely delicious. When I am back in town, I will try the Branzino fish dish, which is highly recommended by the locals.

In Wilmington to see a show, and decided to stop in for dinner before. Seating was spacious. Service was very good, and our server was very attentive. Menu was interesting, and prices were reasonable. They featured a $29 3-course dinner, which offered several choices for starters, main, and dessert. What a great deal. The food was quite well-prepared, and portions... More

Horrible slow service and took 2 hours to get incomplete meals despite the restaurant being almost completely empty. We had to remind the server people were missing food. Came out when we were ready to leave. Some meals had obviously been under heat lamps because plates were super hot and pasta sauces had skin. Initial drinks took 20 minutes, we... More

Stopped in for a drink on a Saturday night. Neon sign in the front window said "Martini Bar". We walked in at about 9:35-9:45. We were greeted at the door, not with a "hello", or a "welcome", but rather with a "Are you here for dinner?" We indicated that we were not, and were only looking for a drink -... More

Came to this restaurant, on Saturday before going to the Grand, with high expectations after reading the reviews. Found the place cold, server was not friendly and food was average. The food was salty and service was very slow for s place 1/4 filled.

I ordered take out, but from what I gathered the atmosphere was very nice and modern. The tortellini crab was very good, but for $18, I expected more than 8 medium-sized tortellinis and three pieces of dry bread. I would visit again, but dine in instead.

There are not many places to have dinner in Wilmington downtown and Cafe Mezzanote was surprisingly good. The decor has nothing special, not particularly welcoming but as room fills up it becomes warmer and enjoyable. Food is good, italian style, well prepared and service is friendly and efficient.
