I work in Wilmington on occasion, and when I do, I make an effort to get down to the Washington St Ale House. I've only had burgers and beers in there, but I always really enjoy the food, the great selection of beers and ales on tap, and friendly, relaxed atmosphere. During the working day there's a nice sandwich shop... More

At this place you will have a great time and enjoy the food. The Cobb Salad is excellent with shrimp and the House Dressing. Enjoy!!

A cheese steak spring roll got the best of my curiosity. I could not imagine the combination so I ordered this appetizer. It was a meal. Huge portions. 4 very large spring rolls (burrito size ). So delicious. I am sorry I live 6 hours away and can not savor this delicious meal again. Waitress was nice, friendly and attentive.... More

My co-workers love the Ale House, so we go three out of four Fridays a month. Every time I go, the same bartenders are working, and they completely ignore me. I let it slide until this evening when the bartenders ignored me for nearly ten minutes, despite my attempts to get their attention, until one of my co-workers came in.... More

A lot of times when you think of an Ale House you think just typical burgers and stuff. This place has really great food plus a huge beer list! I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Wilmington.

Went here with a few colleagues while on a business trip to Wilmington. At first I wasn't sure if to was a good choice but it wound up being better than I had expected. The beer cheese soup is good if you like that type of soup, a lot of flavor. The French onion soup was a little on the... More

My husband was in Wilmington on business and we decided to try the Washington Street Ale House for dinner. We arrived around 7pm. The bar area was packed; however, there was plenty of seating in the restaurant area. Staff was outstanding, from the greeter to the server. We were seated promptly with several menus including the special of the day,... More

Vibrant but not obnoxiously so. Great for gatherings or just hanging out. There is a section of the Ale House for everyone. Drinks were good, service was quick and attentive. Did not try the food. Liquor selection could be better and more varied, but, it did the job for the price. Truly, a quaint Wilmington favorite.

We came here for lunch on a Saturday after my husband had been here the week before. Our server Jeffrey was attentive and professional despite having multiple large tables and when we asked to,split the burger and a salad, the kitchen split both the salad and burger without even being asked. The Kobe burger was perfectly cooked and delicious and... More

We use to be regulars at the restaurant and unfortunately the past 2 years the food has continued to go downhill. The beer and atmosphere is fun but somehow I believe they have lost there way.
