Good size helpings of food, nice/large local beer selection

I especially liked the bowl of chili which had a large amount of cheese covering the whole top. The home made pretzels were especially nice with the garlic butter although a little over priced at $9 for two large pretzels and three types of dips. I tried a number of different local beers which was... read more

Pretty pricy but the food was great and the atmosphere romantic. The restaurant is a little tight but it was nice.

Family of six having a late late lunch on a Saturday about 3.30 PM. Place was fairly empty, couple of people at bar, maybe 2 or 3 small tables in restaurant. All of us were hungry, went there on a word from someone, not a recommendation. Ordered 6 drinks, 3 cocktails, 3 beers. The beers were good, 2 of the... More

I have been patronizing the Ale House since it opened in '97, and at various times could be considered a "regular." I have been for brunch, lunch, dinner, late night snacks, special dinners, and drinks at the bar. I've dined here alone, with friends and family, on dates, and as part of business meals. Of all the (many) times I've... More

This restaurant is special for my husband and I. We met here for the very first time, and decided to come back for my birthday this past Saturday evening, May 9th. To keep my comments in the right frame of mind, I have never written a negative, critical review, and my husband and I dine often: from NYC to pubs... More

Good food and service. The restuarant serves bar fare, and the food is delicious. There is a large selections of food items to satisfy the choice of picky eaters.

Food is casual fare but very good. However, it's extremely loud. Our server had a hard time hearing our orders and we could barely hear him. Seems to attract a younger crowd.

Party of eleven stopped in for a late lunch. The appetizers were excellent. Most memorable were the cheese steak spring rolls, hot pretzels with dipping sauces, and potato wedges. I was disappointed with my lunch salad. It was average. Everyone else enjoyed their lunch though no one raved. Though the apps were a huge hit, the rest was just okay.

Nice meeting place for happy hour, but the bar service is a bit hit-or-miss. We like to have a quick meal at the bar after work and it can be difficult getting efficient service at times. Food is pretty good. Would still go back!

My husband and I met some friends for dinner here on a Friday night and we were all very disappointed. We ate in the restaurant area. The service was very poor, the waitress was very inattentive, food preparation was slow, and the quality of the food was terrible. In regards to the food, we ordered the nachos to start. We've...
